With her intimate knowledge of colour, Carla loves using Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colour for its intense pigmentation and beautiful delicate washes. Palette staples include French Ultramarine, Cerulean Blue, Cobalt Turquoise, Cobalt Turquoise Light, Burnt Sienna, Perylene Green, Indigo and Potter’s Pink. French Ultramarine is showcased beautifully in her paintings for its stunningly rich deep blue and mixing versatility.
She gravitates to the exquisite beauty of Cobalt Turquoise, “when mixed with Potter’s Pink, granulating smoky eucalyptus grey-greens emerge. Wonderful Australian bush greens can also be created when mixed with Burnt Sienna or other earth colours”.
