The promoter is Auto & General Services Pty Ltd ABN 61 003 617 909, AFSL 241 411 (operating under the brand Budget Direct) of Level 13, Toowong Tower, 9 Sherwood Road, Toowong 4066, (Promoter) on behalf of the insurer, Auto & General Insurance Company Ltd (ABN 42 111 586 353) (Insurer).
These Terms and Conditions apply to the promotion, ‘Win $10,000’ (Promotion). One Eligible Winner will win $10,000 for either obtaining a quote from Budget Direct, purchasing a new Budget Direct product, completing the Renewal Date online entry form or for playing ‘Bad Dog – The Game’ and completing the entry form. (See Eligibility and Participation section).
Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other published material, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
The Promotion commences at 12.01am (AEST) on 14 September 2020 and ends at 11.59pm (AEST) on 31 October 2020 (Promotion Period). The total maximum prize pool in the Promotion is $10,000.
Entry into the Promotion and any offer of Budget Direct Insurance is subject to the Insurer deeming that the risk is acceptable in accordance with its underwriting criteria. Before purchasing a policy, consider if the product is right for you by reading the Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide.
Eligibility and Participation
Customers must meet the following criteria to participate in the Promotion (Eligible Entrant):
be 18 years or over and a permanent resident of Australia, or have resided in Australia continuously for six months or more on a temporary work visa at the time of participating in the Promotion; and
provide a valid email address; and
either:
play Bad Dog – The Game on the Budget Direct website

provide the future renewal date for their current policy online at
https://www.budgetdirect.com.au/landingpages/win10k; and/or
purchase a new roadside assistance membership through Budget Direct’s website, or via the Budget Direct call centre; and or
complete a new quote and/or purchase one of the following Budget Direct products through Budget Direct’s website, or via the Budget Direct call centre:
car policy (providing either comprehensive, third party property, third party fire & theft); or
home and or contents policy; or
travel insurance policy; or
motorcycle insurance policy
(referred to as Eligible Products)
Officers or employees of the Promoter, its related entities or agents and service providers directly associated with the conduct of the Promotion, or their immediate family are not eligible to enter.
Eligible Entrants will receive a maximum of fifteen (15) entries into the prize draw. Eligible Entrants will receive the following entries:
A maximum of one (1) entry into the prize draw for playing ‘Bad Dog – The Game’ and completing the online entry form at the conclusion of the game; and
A maximum of one (1) entry into the prize draw if the Eligible Entrant provides the renewal date for their current policies online; and
Three (3) entries for quoting on an Eligible Product. A maximum of three (3) entries will be awarded for obtaining quotations for Eligible Products; and
A maximum of ten (10) entries for the purchase of any new Eligible Product or a roadside assistance membership. Customers renewing or varying their existing Eligible Products or roadside assistance membership with the Promoter are not eligible for these entries. The purchased Eligible Product must remain active and valid for a period of not less than twenty-one (21) days from the date the policy was issued (Cooling Off Period) and remain valid at the Draw Date. If a Customer purchases more than one Eligible Product, they will not receive additional entries.
Purchases made via third party aggregation platforms such as Compare the Market or iSelect are not eligible for participation in this Promotion.
The use of any automated entry software or any other means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly or otherwise tamper with the entry process is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Entrant invalid.
If there is a dispute regarding the conduct of the Promotion, Entrants agree that the decision of the Promoter will be final.
Draw and Prizes
The prize draw will take place at DVM Law, Suite 12, 285A Crown Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010 at 10:30am (AEST) on 4 December 2020 (Draw Date).
The winner will be notified via their nominated email address and via phone (where available) within two (2) business days of the Draw Date, or no later than 8 December 2020 and their name will be published on the Terms and Conditions page of the Promoter’s website at
www.budgetdirect.com.au/terms-conditions/win10k.html within twenty-eight (28) days of the Draw Date, and will remain on the Promoter’s website for no less than twenty-eight (28) days. All reasonable steps will be taken by the Promotor to notify the winner.
A total of one (1) Eligible Entrant, who upon request, has provided evidence of their eligibility and the validity of their entry (Eligible Winner), will be selected on the Draw Date.
The Promoter may draw five (5) additional reserve entries on the Draw Date and record them (in order) in case the Eligible Winner does not accept the prize. In this event, the prize will be awarded to the first reserve entry drawn and the Promoter will continue to draw from the reserve entries until the prize is awarded. If after this process a prize has still not been awarded, or if an entrant drawn cannot be notified, the Promoter will hold an unclaimed prize draw in accordance with Clause 17.
A prize will be deemed unclaimed if the Promoter is not reasonably able to contact the Eligible Winner within three (3) months and one (1) day of the Draw Date via the Eligible Winner’s provided contact details.
If the prize remains unclaimed, an Unclaimed Prize Draw will be held on 12 March 2021 at the same time and location as advised in clause 12. Any Unclaimed Prize Draw winner will be notified within two (2) business days of the applicable Unclaimed Prize Draw and the Unclaimed Prize Draw winner’s name will be published in accordance with clause 13.
The Eligible Winner will receive an email with a link to access their cash prize within twenty-eight (28) days of the Draw Date from Digital Glue Australia Pty Limited ABN 36 127 466 899 (Digital Glue) who operates the redemption website. The winner will then be required to follow the instructions contained in the email and on the website of Digital Glue for the payment of prize money (Redemption Process).
As part of the Redemption Process, the Eligible Winner must provide current Australian bank account details, including bank account name, BSB and account number. The payment of the cash prize will be effected via Digital Glue by way of electronic funds transfer into the winners nominated bank account. This may take up to five (5) business days from successful completion of the Redemption Process.
The Promoter is not responsible for, or liable in respect of, products and services provided by Digital Glue.
Privacy Statement and Marketing Consent
The Promoter is committed to protecting your Personal Information and will use and handle personal information collected in a manner consistent with the Promotor’s Privacy Policy which is available on the website, at
https://secure.budgetdirect.com.au/branding/resources/BUDD/legal/car/privacy.pdf. The Privacy Policy also includes details of how the Promoter will collect, store, use and disclose personal information collected. As per the relevant Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), a request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promotor’s Privacy Officer at

By entering the Promotion, Entrants consents to the Promoter disclosing the Personal Information to Digital Glue and to any of the Promoter’s related entities, and to use the Personal Information to process and validate claims of an Eligible Winner. Eligible Entrants acknowledge that a further purpose for collection of the Eligible Entrant’s Personal Information is to contact the Eligible Entrant in the future with information about the Promoter and its products and services, including special offers, market research or to provide the Entrant with marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future.
The Promoter will never sell an Eligible Entrant’s Personal Information to other companies; however the Promoter may share an Eligible Entrant’s Personal Information with its Australian and overseas related companies, promotional partners, servants, employees, agents and trusted third parties who may contact the Entrant for their legitimate commercial purposes, including special offers, market research or to provide the Entrant with marketing materials in this way. By entering the Promotion, Entrants acknowledge and consent to the Promoter and any applicable third parties’ using their Personal Information in the manner set out in this clause.
General
The Promoter, its related entities, their officers and employers will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect or consequential (including loss of profits or loss of opportunity) which is suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion including the use of any prize money, except to the extent of any liability which cannot be excluded by the law (including under the Australian Consumer Law).
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any person from receiving the prize if any of the following occurs:
if it suspects fraudulent activity; or
for a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter reserves the right at its discretion or subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate, withdraw, or cancel the Promotion at any time without notice. Unless prohibited by law, these Terms and Conditions may be varied at any time without notice.
Except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter, (including its officers, employees and agents) will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) including any loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, or any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this Promotion.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another incentive of the same value, subject to regulatory authority.
