IT’S getting warm and you’ve probably been outside during these school holidays — but have you remembered to slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen, slap on a hat, seek shade and slide on sunglasses?
Protecting your skin from the effects of the sun is very important.
And, when you get back to school, you could learn more about sun protection thanks to the release of new skin cancer prevention classroom resources from the Cancer Institute NSW.
Maybe ask your parent or guardian to talk to your teacher about the new Sun And UV At School resources or the Sun And UV At School Challenge.
To celebrate the launch of Sun And UV At School, the Cancer Institute NSW is giving away 15 sun protection packs of sunscreen and a hat to help protect kids like you. To enter, colour in the picture of the school students in the playground under the shade cloth.
Then ask your parent or guardian to take a photograph and email it to:
funday@sundaytelegraph.com.au. Please put Sun And UV Colouring-in in the subject line and fill in the coupon so we can contact you if you are a winner.
Harry the Dog and the Funday team will select only the best 15 entries to receive a sun protection pack, so make sure you get creative.
Please send in your entry by Thursday and look for the list of winners on the Weather page in next week’s Sunday Telegraph.
