COMPETITION TIME! miffy & friends goodie bags
Captivating children and adults alike for over 65 years, the iconic and much-loved children’s book character of Miffy has captured our hearts and minds, inspiring us to live a life filled with art and joy. First created by Dutch illustrator Bruna as a bedtime story for his son in 1955, the little white bunny has inspired generations of artists and designers and is now the star of a major exhibition showing at QUT Art Museum until 14 March 2021.
miffy & friends brings the work of Dick Bruna to Australia for the first time, placing Miffy alongside the work of seven Australian contemporary artists: Stephen Bird, Sadie Chandler, Nadia Hernández, Carla McRae, Nell, Brian Robinson, and Vipoo Srivilasa. Kids can enjoy FREE ACTIVITY KITS which are available in the gallery while stocks last, as well as an augmented reality adventure, online games and Miffy screenings.
Whether you remember Miffy from your childhood or read the stories to your own children, Miffy spreads joy wherever she goes. Perfectly capturing the Dutch concept of gezelligheid, a word which isn’t easily translated into English, Miffy is about a feeling of coming together with loved ones and a general ‘togetherness’ that gives people a sense of belonging and mutual understanding.
Thanks to our friends at QUT Art Museum, we have three very special miffy & friends goodie bags up for grabs, each including a beautiful Miffy cookie tin, retro mug, magnet and figurine. To go in the running, simply like this post and tag a friend in the comments who fills you with joy.
