The Prime Minister's Literary Awards encourage a national appreciation of Australian literature and support increased understanding of Australian history. The winners were announced on 10th December and to celebrate we are giving away a copy of a selection of the winning works.

To celebrate the winner of the Fiction Award, we are giving away a copy of the winning book, 'The Yield' by Tara June Winch

Knowing that he will soon die, Albert ‘Poppy’ Gondiwindi takes pen to paper. His life has been spent on the banks of the Murrumby River at Prosperous House, on Massacre Plains. Albert is determined to pass on the language of his people and everything that was ever remembered. He finds the words on the wind.
