https://www.facebook.com/southaussiewithcosi/posts/3914204431969557/When was the last time you visited your local council library???
Council libraries support connections and learning in every South Australian community. No matter your age, interest or background, EVERYONE can find something new to discover at their local council library!!! They are sooooooooooo much more than just books!!!
Council libraries have also become one of our favourite places to meet with many incorporating cafés and meeting rooms used by a wide variety of community groups. Libraries offer FREE internet and computer access, supporting access to government services, connecting with friends and family and searching for job opportunities. Many also host JP services, and lend out toys, computer tablets, and sometimes even garden equipment. They run programs that bring people together, including story time, summer reading clubs, English as a second language, digital literacy courses and book discussion groups. Councils operate over 100 libraries and support another 40 school-based, joint-use libraries in rural and remote areas.
If ‘working from home’ is challenging, libraries are a fantastic alternative. Anyone can access the free WiFi to get some work done while enjoying the peace and quiet, what an awesome idea!!!
If you haven’t visited a library lately, you will find that whatever your age, interest or background, there is something new to discover and share at your local library.
