A thrilling adventure, based on the incredible true story of English explorer Sir James Brooke, the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling’s The Man Who Would Be King and Joseph Konrad’s Lord Jim.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers (TVs Vikings and The Tudors) and Dominic Monaghan (Lord of The Rings trilogy, TVs Lost) head the cast in this epic true story of Sir James Brooke,

the British adventurer who befriended and fought for the future Sultan of Brunei, becoming the Governor of Sarawak in the 1840's.

Brooke embarked on a lifelong crusade to end piracy and head-hunting - only to face charges of murder and piracy himself.
