FAMILIES the world over enjoy sitting down together to play Monopoly. Now, to celebrate the timeless game's 85th anniversary, there's a new version of the popular board game - the exclusive Australia Post Monopoly Game.
Its tokens are an aeroplane, van, truck, pushbike, posting box and a Ford Model-T, based on the 1920s version used by the Postmaster General's department.
Players can find treasure in the stamp archives (Community Chest) or take a chance in Letterbox Luck (Chance), all while visiting postcodes and Post Offices from across Australia.
Utilities have become Parcel Lockers and Mail Redistribution Centre, houses and hotels have been renamed postboxes and post offices, and Tax spaces are Bank At Post and Transport Tax.
The object and rules of the game remain unchanged.
