Pig
FILM
Win a double pass to behold Nic Cage’s cinematic opus, ‘Pig’

After everything the human race has been through over the past 18 months, many of us have no doubt shifted our priorites. For once, the little things don’t seem as big as the big things, and – crossing fingers and toes – life will be all the better for it. Things like companionship have taken on a whole new meaning, so it’s no surprise that a film depicting an unbreakable bond between two friends has been poised as one of the year’s most anticipated, and the defining moment in the lead actor’s already iconic career.

Pig, starring Nicolas Cage (Face/Off, National Treasure), hits Australian cinemas on Thursday, September 16th. To make sure our dear readers don’t miss this ode to friendship set to the backdrop of the shank-or-be-shanked culinary underworld, we’re giving away six double passes to six lucky winners.

Tickets will be valid for the film’s entire theatrical run, too, meaning those living in states currently in lockdown will be able to enter in the hopes that restrictions are lifted in the near future.

Living deep within the Oregonian wilderness, Pig captures Cage as an anti-social truffle hunter in possession of a prized hunting pig. But a deeper meaning is unearthed from the endearing narrative, which becomes less and less a revenge plot and more and more a meditation on life, loss, and our natural inability to cope. Oh, and plenty of delicious food porn. The film has been wildly applauded as the most vivid and intense role of Cage’s career – which, considering some of his more vivid and intense roles, is a serious accolade.

How to enter:
Entries are now open to Australian residents only. Entries close at 12am Thursday, September 16th.

To enter, simply answer this question:

What delicious subterranean fungi are pigs particularly good at sniffing out?

Using the subject line “Pig giveaway”, email your answer, a contact number and the Australian state/territory in which you live to giveaways@bluntmag.com.au

Tickets will be delivered physically to the winners.

Terms & Conditions
Double-passes are valued at $46AUD each. Entries open 12pm AEDT Friday, September 3rd. Entries close 12am AEDT Thursday, September 16th. Winners to be notified by 5pm Thursday, September 16th. Entries are open to Australian residents only. Entrants under 18 years of age must have parental or guardian approval to enter. ‘Pig’ is rated MA15+. Winners will be selected based on successfully following the competition mechanic and correct answer. Tickets will be valid for the duration of the ‘Pig’ cinematic release. Entrants’ personal information will not be stored by BLUNT.
