The North Eastern Wheatbelt Travel Association (NEWTRAVEL) is giving people the chance to win a $500 cash prize in its 2021 Wheatbelt Way photo competition.
We invite locals and visitors to the Wheatbelt Way to visit their favourite places, taking photos of their adventures in the Wheatbelt Way.
Key Themes we interested in seeing are:
Spotlight towns: photos featuring our Wheatbelt Way towns. People are encouraged to stop and explore the towns in the Wheatbelt Way and snap those moments that capture its people and uniqueness.
Celebrate isolation: photos of Wheatbelt Way locations and landscapes that showcase the environment and unique beauty of the Wheatbelt Way.
How to enter
Snap: Take photos of your favorite experiences across the Wheatbelt Way and upload them to your Facebook and Instagram pages.
Post: Use the two hashtags in your posts #mywheatbeltway and #wheatbeltway
Enter: enter the competition and upload your image using the form below.
Competition and entry rules
The competition opens on Thursday 1st July at 9 am and closes on 30th September 2021 at 4 pm.
No entries will be valid or accepted after the close date.

Enter: go to the Wheatbelt Way website and complete the entry form and upload your image.
Win: The best photo will be judged by a panel of people which will look at the images in context to the competition theme and consider style, originality and storytelling.

Competition Dates
The competition opens on Thursday 1 July 2021 at 9am and closes on Thursday 30th September 2021 at 4pm.
No entries will be valid or accepted after the close date.
The prize
The prize is a cash prize of $500.
The winners will be notified via direct contact with their email address or Facebook or Instagram pages.
In the event the winner cannot be contacted the prize will be forfeited. The #mywheatbeltway competition is only open to residents of Australia and winners must produce identification showing their residential status when collecting the prize.
Collection of Prize
The Winner will be announced on Tuesday 4th October 2021.
The winner and promoter will make arrangements for the prize to be electronically transferred to the winners nominated bank account.
General terms
1. The promoter is the North Eastern Wheatbelt Travel Association Inc.
2. The competition is open to residents of Australia aged 16 years and over.
3. Images entered into the competition must be taken and owned by the entrant themselves.
4. There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
5. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
6. You can enter as many times as you like.
7. Closing date for entry will be 4pm Thursday 30th September 2021.
8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
9. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be amended in these terms and conditions and/or on an entry form if applicable.
10. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected or not with this competition.
11. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or any other third party.
12. You are providing your information to NEWTRAVEL only and not to any other party.
13. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
14. Travel to and from any location or associated freight costs are not included with the prize.
15. Submissions with watermarks may not qualify for prizes.
16. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
17. Entrants give the promoter permission to utilise their photographic images, including reproduction, copying and publishing, for specific purposes and initiatives. Entrants agree to allow NEWTRAVEL to use their images in a variety of media forms including print media, council publications, internet sites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other forms of electronic communication, posters and event notifications.
18. Entrants agree to the use of their name, personal image and their entry in any publicity material produced by the promoter. The promoter has a legal obligation under The Commonwealth’s Privacy Act 1988 not to disclose entrants’ personal information other than for the primary purpose for which it was collected, unless otherwise agreed to, or authorised by law.
19. NEWTRAVEL shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this web page.
20. NEWTRAVEL also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
