Uniting a stellar team of local Brisbane musos, the next big concert to add to your summer social calendar is Dots+Loops Nonstop, set to take over Newstead Brewing Co. in Milton on Sunday December 12. If you’re looking for an excuse to gather your mates to sink a few beers while checking out an eclectic line-up of genre-pushing artists, consider this it.
The tune-filled festival will transform the upstairs Barrel Hall of Newstead Brewing Co. into a festival wonderland with two stages, an art gallery and an indoor beer garden. The event will kick off with a Welcome To Country by Shannon Ruska, followed by two of Cre8tive Nations’ incredible artists, Poji and Sela Mahe. A magical line-up of performers follows hot on the heels of this enchanting introduction, including Shoeb Ahmad, David Moran, Madeleine Cocolas, Erik Griswold and the string sensations of Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, as well as Cameron Bower, Cigány Weaver, Expo 88 and DJ AVAXA. Alongside this musical talent, the festival features visual art curated by The Third Quarter, a multidisciplinary installation from local artists Tim Tate and Zenobia Frost commissioned by Dots+Loops, and a special exhibition of photography in memory of Cre8tive Nations’ co-founder, LaVonne Bobongie. Newstead Brewing Co.’s own brew will be pouring cold all day and punters will be able to tuck into some tantalising bites between the sets.
To celebrate the launch of this killer fest, The Weekend Edition and Dots+Loops Nonstop are giving five readers the chance to win a double pass to the festival. Each winner will also receive a merch pack worth $60, which includes an assortment of locally designed goodies. Enter below for your chance to win!
