State Library Victoria has partnered with science and technology storytellers Future Crunch on an new interactive lecture series designed to spark conversation.
The third lecture in this series, ‘decarbonisation,’ explores living through the greatest energy transition of all time and our race to limit climate change.
With the world’s high-carbon economies being replaced by solar and wind, greener construction, electric transportation systems and sustainable agriculture – are we on the verge of a future where our ecosystems will be treasured as the source of all life or rather just providers of economic services?
The night will begin with a provocative lecture on our efforts to prevent ecological collapse, followed by a debate on the topic from a pannel of experts, and breakaway roundtable discussions.
