From June 18 through to October 3, Brisbane’s cultural precinct will be transformed into an art-filled ‘grammable adventure, as Berlin-based Japanese-born artist Chiharu Shiota brings her immense, ethereal thread-weaved sculptures to South Brisbane. Exclusive to GOMA, The Soul Trembles is the largest solo showcase of Chiharu Shiota’s career that will highlight her world-recognised practice through large-scale installations, sculptures, video performance, photography and drawing. This is one immersive exhibition that must be seen to be believed.
