City 2 Surf – Sunday 14th August 2022
City2Surf attracts more than 80,000 entrants each year of all ages and is a 14km run from Hyde Park to Bondi Beach. In your training, you’ll have to prepare for the torture that is “Heartbreak Hill”, a 2km long steep ascent from Rose Bay to Vaucluse along New South Head Road. The best part of this course is when you run down the hill and see sparkling Bondi Beach at the finish line. and of course your options for celebratory drinks at the best restaurants in Bondi. Blackmores Sydney Running Festival – Sunday 18th September 2022
Blackmores is without a doubt Australia’s largest running festival celebrating 20 years in 2022. The event allows you to run across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, completely traffic-free and cross the finish line at the Sydney Opera House. The best part about Blackmores is that it invites people of all fitness levels to attend a bunch of different events on the day – Family Fun Run, Bridge Run, Half Marathon & Marathon. Three Bridge Run – Sunday 30th October 2022
The Three Bridge Run is a spectacular 5km, 9km, 21.1km (half marathon) or 42.2km (marathon) run along Parramatta River, only 30mins West of Sydney CBD. The course takes in the sites of George Kendall Riverside Park, Meadowbank Park, Rhodes Point, and Newington Nature Reserve using the Parramatta Valley shared use path. Husky Half Running Festival – Saturday 5th November 2022
The Husky Half Running Festival presents the perfect opportunity to pack your bags and head down the coast for a weekend away. Located in Huskisson, this will be the 12th annual event on the scenic shores of Jervis Bay. With the half marathon and half marathon teams (two people doing just over 10km each) as well as 10km, 5km and 2km races, there is a distance for everyone. Register online here.
Parkrun – Every Saturday
Parkrun is a collection of 5km running events that take place every Saturday morning at over 1,400 locations in twenty-three countries across five continents. They happen all over Sydney from Centennial Park to Cronulla, St Peters, North Sydney and more. It’s designed to keep communities active and social.
