General
The following terms and conditions will apply to this Gold Coast Airport Prize Draw (‘Promotion’) which is offered by Gold Coast Airport Pty Ltd ACN 077 200 821 (‘Airport/we/us/our’).
By entering the Promotion you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and also the Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions:

We reserve the right to withhold the benefit of the Promotion from any participant who fails to comply with these terms and conditions.
Eligibility
The Promotion is open to all Australian citizens who are the age of 18 years or over who enter via
www.gcawin.com.au and enter 25 words or less on why the participant would like to win (‘Eligible Participants’).
Promoter and Retailer staff, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter the Promotion. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
Promotion and prize details
The Promotion offers Eligible Participants the chance to win 1 x first prize of One Million Qantas Frequent Flyer Points, and 1 x runner up prize of 500,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer Points. The maximum notional value of each Prize is AU$ $46,281 (including GST) for first prize and AU$ $23,140 (including GST) for the runner prize with a total prize pool of AU$ $69,422 (including GST) based on a sample of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards that could be obtained by redeeming through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program (as fully defined in the terms and conditions of the program available at qantas.com/terms).
The maximum notional value of the Qantas Points Prize Pool is $69,422 based on a sample of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards that could be obtained by redeeming through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. The estimate of maximum national value of each Prize is provided for information purposes only and will vary depending on whether and how it is redeemed by a Prize Winner through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the maximum notional value of each Prize. The Prize value is in Australian Dollars. For example, 18,000 Qantas Points could be redeemed for a one way Economy Classic Flight Reward from Sydney to Perth on 17 October 2022 plus AU$44 in applicable taxes, fees and carrier charges, accurate as at 24 August 2022.
The dollar fare for an equivalent commercial, flexible fare totals $877 including taxes, fees and carrier charges. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.
The estimate of the maximum notional value of the Qantas Points prize is provided for information purposes only. The maximum notional value of each prize will vary depending on whether and how it is redeemed by a winner through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program. The Promoters accepts no responsibility for any variation in the maximum notional value of each prize.
Each Prize is awarded and must be redeemed, in accordance with and subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program (Qantas.com/terms), the Qantas Store Terms of Use (Qantas.com/store), voucher terms and conditions (including expiry rules) if relevant, and any other terms and conditions disclosed at the time of redemption.
The redemption of each Prize is subject to the availability of Rewards that may be obtained through the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
The Promotion will run between 12:00am AEST 30/08/2022 and 09:00am AEST 23/09/2022.
The Prize Winner must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn and redeem points. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program terms and conditions.
Qantas points may take up to 6 weeks to be credited to the winner’s account from the draw date.
If the winners are not already members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, membership to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, normally valued at $89.50, will be included in their Prize. To accept this part of the Prize, the winners must not already be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, and must complete the standard join process including agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program (available at Qantas.com/terms).
In the event that a Prize is redeemed for reward travel, the winners should be aware that the number of reward flight seats available is limited and availability depends on the flight, date, season and destination and some flights may not have any reward seats available. The winners will be responsible for all applicable taxes, fees and carrier charges of reward travel or accommodation booked by redeeming their prize. Taxes, fees and carrier charges vary depending on departure points, routes, exchange rates and dates of travel, are subject to change without notice and are quoted at the time of booking. Reward flights must be booked at least 24 hours before scheduled departure (and other advance booking requirements may apply). Reward travel is subject to the fare rules and the Conditions of Carriage of the relevant carrier. Compliance with immigration, health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the winner.

The Promoter does not warrant the acceptable quality, suitability and/or fitness for purpose of any goods and/or services awarded as a prize.
Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming a prize are not included.
If the prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute that prize (or that part of the prize) to the equal value, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
The Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
We reserve the right to cancel the Promotion Code at any time.

If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
to disqualify any entrant; or
subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion, as appropriate.
If the prize is unclaimed, a redraw may take place on 26/09/2022 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner will be notified in writing within two (2) business days of the draw and their name will be published online at

To the extent permitted by the law, you agree to release and hold harmless the Promoter and its personnel from any expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgments and losses of any kind whatsoever (including consequential and economic losses, property loss, damage and damages for injury, including personal injury and death) (‘Losses’) incurred or suffered by you and which arise out of, are caused by, are attributable to or result from your participation in this Promotion except to the extent such Losses are caused or contributed to by a wrongful or negligent act or omission of the Promoter or our personnel.
To the extent permitted by the law, you agree to indemnify the Promoter and our personnel against any Losses incurred or suffered by the Promoter which arise out of, are caused by, are attributable to or result from any wrongful or negligent act or omission of yours.
In the event of a force majeure or if anything occurs that corrupts or affects the administration, security, integrity or proper and lawful conduct of this Promotion, we may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, and we will not be liable for any Losses incurred or suffered by you which arise out of, are caused by, are attributable to or result from any such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension.
Unless otherwise stated in these terms and conditions or other materials produced by us in connection with this Promotion, you are responsible for any taxation liability (including any GST liability) or other government charges or reporting requirements which arise directly from your receipt of the Promotion (if any).
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws in force in Queensland, Australia and each party irrevocably and unconditionally agrees to be bound by the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
Should any provision of these terms and conditions be held to be unenforceable, such provision will be deemed severed from these terms and conditions without affecting the enforceability or validity of the remaining provisions which shall continue in full force and effect.
