Terms & Conditions of Entry
Trade Promotion Lottery, NSW Permit No. TP/00738
1. The Think Local - Shop Local Promotion (‘Promotion’) is run by the Tamworth
Business Chamber (ACN: 000 482 093) of 26/28 Fitzroy Street Tamworth NSW 2340
and supported by major sponsors Centrepoint Tamworth, Woodleys Motors and
Tamworth Regional Council.
2. Participation in the promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions of
Entry. Entries that do not comply with these Terms & Conditions of Entry are
ineligible and the promoter reserves its absolute right to disqualify any entry in the
promotion if the entry does not fully comply with these Terms & Conditions of Entry.
3. Publicity for the ‘Promotion’ will commence from Wednesday 22 February 2023.
There will be 10 weekly draws commencing with Draw 1 on Wednesday 8 March with
each weekly draw consecutively on the following Wednesday. The weekly winner will
be announced on radio (88.9, 2TM & 92.9) and contacted via social media and
phone.
4. The weekly draw schedule is as follows: -

Draw 3 - Wednesday March 22
Draw 4 - Wednesday March 29
Draw 5 - Wednesday April 5

Final Key Draw - Saturday May 13 – location to be advised
5. The promotion will end on Saturday 13 May 2023 after the 10 weekly winners
recognised a finalist’s will attempt to open the new Skoda Scala with their key in
front of a live audience commencing at 10.00am. The entrant with the key that
opens the car will win the car.
- There will be 1 additional weekly ‘2nd chance’ draw ticket prize drawn each
Wednesday during the promotion. The winner will be contacted by social media
and phone and awarded their prize.

- There will be three ‘additional’ supplementary prizes available for entrants to win.
1 supplementary draw prize each week x 10 weeks and 2 additional
supplementary draw prizes week 4 draw 4 and week 8 draw 8.
- The supplementary prize draw will occur on each Friday morning at 10.00am
following the weekly Wednesday draw. Entrants can win shopping vouchers and
prizes. The winners will be contacted by social media and phone and awarded the
allocated prize.
6. The promotion: - (Subject to the Terms & Conditions of Entry)
a. Entrants in the promotion must be 18 years or older
b. Subject to the above requirements, entry into the promotion occurs when –
1. an individual completes the promotion Quick Response Code, and all entry details
are completed and includes an image of a receipt of a single purchase of $30 or
more from a registered participating business during the promotional period.
OR
2. an entry is competed via the promotional website located at
www.shoplocal.tamworth.org.au and all entry details are completed and includes an
image of a receipt of a single purchase of $30 or more from a registered
participating business during the promotional period.
By entering the promotion, you agree to these terms and conditions.
c. Each week one ticket (entry) will be drawn from a barrel in front of a live
audience at Centrepoint at approximately 10.00am. The name of the entrant
of the winning weekly ticket will be announced live on Facebook and
contacted by phone.
d. The weekly winner becomes that week’s finalist and will progress to the final
car key draw. Ultimately one of ten lucky weekly finalists will win the car.
e. Finalists will be invited to attend the final car key draw which will be held on
Saturday 13 May 2023 commencing at 10.00am at Centrepoint Shopping
Centre Tamworth in front of a live audience.
f. Each finalist will be required to produce proof of identity. The finalist will then
be asked to draw a key from a barrel.
g. One finalist’s key will open the door of the Skoda Scala (‘the car’).
h. The holder of the key that opens the car wins the car, valued at
approximately $33,000 including all on road costs. The car must be collected
by the winner within 7 days of the final car key draw. If not, the prize may be
forfeited.

i. Each draw will be scrutinised by an independent person
* independent person means a person who:
a. except for involvement with the scrutiny of the draw is not otherwise concerned with
the management, conduct or the promotion for which this authority is issued; or is
not a director, employee or otherwise employed by, or under contract to, the
promoter, the promoter’s agent, or any associated companies, businesses, or
agencies, and
b. does not have any interest or relationship, personal or commercial, with the
promoter, or any person employed by that promoter who might be, or appear to be,
incompatible with that person’s objectivity.
c. incomplete entries will not be accepted.
d. entrants who provide incorrect, misleading, or fraudulent information are ineligible
to participate in the promotion and all entries deemed by the Promoter to provide
incorrect, misleading, or fraudulent information may, at the discretion of the
Promoter, be deemed invalid.
e. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the
right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting
an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
f. The Promoter will not be held responsible if a prize winner cannot travel or attend at
the time required for prize redemption.
g. The prize must be taken as offered and is not exchangeable, transferable, or
redeemable for cash or for resale.
h. If for whatever reason the specified prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the
right to award an alternate prize of equal or greater value.
i. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual, who tampers with the
entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the
Competition, subject to any written directions made under State legislation.
j. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from
winning of the prizes. Independent financial advice should be sought.
k. To the extent permitted by law, each entrant and major prize winner irrevocably
waives all rights against the Promoter and its related companies, its employees,
servants, agents, independent contractors or representatives (together, the
'Indemnified Persons') and releases and discharges the Indemnified Persons from all
claims, liability, costs, expenses, damages or losses (whether direct, indirect or
consequential and whether arising under statute, from negligence, personal injury,
death, property damage or otherwise) arising from or in connection with the
Competition or a prize.

l. These terms do not limit or exclude liability to the extent that liability cannot, by
law, be limited or excluded.
m. The Promoter may use any personal information that an entrant has provided to it
as part of the Promotion for the purpose of running the Promotion, and in
advertisements, publications, media statements and other promotional material
associated with the Promotion.
n. For purposes of public statements and advertisements the Promoter will only publish
the winner's first name and surname. The Promoter may disclose the information for
those purposes to its related bodies corporate and contractors.
6. This is a ‘not for profit’, community-based promotion intended to encourage
commerce in the Tamworth Local Government Area. Given the gratuitous nature of
the program, you agree that Tamworth Business Chamber, promotion sponsors and
participating businesses are not responsible for any error or mistake that occurs in
the process or administration of the promotion and acknowledge that these terms
may be pleaded as a bar and release to any such claim.
7. You consent to Tamworth Business Chamber, promotion sponsors and participating
businesses reasonably collecting and using your personal information for the
administration of the promotion. Tamworth Business Chamber will not use that
information for any further marketing.
