Located at Elder Park, the 2024 Macca’s Footy Festival will feature the popular 150m long zipline over The River Torrens as part of the AFL’s Gather Round festivities.
One of the most popular activities at last year’s AFL Gather Round Footy Festival is back – the River Torrens zipline! Play & Go has a family pass to giveaway for the experience on Friday 5 April 2024 at 6:40pm.
The zipline takes you from Elder Park, over the River Torrens and finishes on the footbridge across from Adelaide Oval.
After riding the zipline, participants will be required to walk back over the footbridge to return to the start point at Elder Park to collect their belongings (5-10 minutes walk). If you are planning to head over to Adelaide Oval and watch a game after ziplining, have someone you know who is not participating in the activity take your belongings and meet you over at the landing platform.
Important Info:
The Macca’s Footy Festival Zipline can only accommodate flyers from 30kg-120kg and participants will be weighed to ensure they are within this range.
Waivers for under-18s will need to be completed by a parent or guardian who is present for the zipline experience.
Any flyers under 16 will need to have a participating adult accompanying them on the experience or two supervising adults (one to accompany them to the take-off platform, and one waiting for them at the landing platform).
The zipline will be a single harness, and therefore they can’t harness participants under the minimum weight to someone heavier (i.e. a child cannot be harnessed together with an adult).
