TERMS & CONDITIONS:

The promoter is Edgewell Personal Care Pty Ltd (ABN 32 601 894 795) of Lvl 1, Bldg B, 11 Talavera Road, Macquarie Park NSW 2113, Tel. 1800 761 186 (“Promoter”).

Where will the competition run?
The competition will run in participating Big W stores which are displaying the advertising material, and at www.bigw.com.au (Stores) in Australia.

When will the competition start and end?
The competition starts at 12.01am (AEST) on 22/08/2024 and ends at 11.59pm (AEST) on 18/09/2024 (the Competition Period).

Entry is only open to Australian residents who are aged 18 years or over and who can take the prize on dates to be determined by the Promoter in Adelaide, Australia (expected to occur 14th to 17th November 2024), excluding:

Management employees, directors and contractors of the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, the participating Stores and other agencies, firms or companies associated with the competition (including suppliers of prizes);
a spouse, de-facto spouse, parent, guardian, child or sibling of a person referred to in paragraph (a) above;
persons who have won a prize or prizes valued either individually or collectively at more than AUD $5,000 (including GST) in any competition or promotion run by or on behalf of the Promoter, within the 12 months prior to the commencement of the Competition Period;
persons who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win a competition or promotion run by or on behalf of the Promoter (except in the case of a legal change of name); and
persons who have breached the terms and conditions of any competition or promotion run by or on behalf of the Promoter.
The persons referred to in paragraph (b) above include natural and non-natural relations (in the opinion of the Promoter) and the Promoter is responsible for determining whether a person is an eligible entrant in its absolute discretion.

Do I need to buy anything to enter?
Yes. During the Competition Period, you need to buy any Schick product (excluding vending machine purchases) (Qualifying Purchase) from a participating Store or at Bigw.com.au.

Entry instructions
After you have made a Qualifying Purchase you must during the Competition Period:

either:
scan the QR code on the in-store advertising material with your smartphone; or
visit www.schickpromotions.com.au (Website),
locate the entry page and fill out and submit the online entry form including by uploading an image of your itemised purchase receipt and providing all other requested information, including your name and address.
Your itemised purchase receipt must clearly identify the Store where the Qualifying Purchase was made, the product/s purchased (which must be/include a Qualifying Purchase) and the date of purchase (which must be during the Competition Period and before you submitted your entry).

The Promoter is not responsible if your mobile device/desktop is not sufficiently capable for the purpose of submitting an entry, including having the requisite photograph capability.

No entries will be accepted outside the Competition Period.

How many winners will there be and how will they be chosen?
There will be 1 winner determined in respect of this competition.

There will be 1 random electronic draw conducted. The draw will be held at 1pm (AEST) on 20/09/2024 at Level 2, 11 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000.

The first valid entry drawn randomly from the entries received during the Competition Period will win the prize.

The Promoter may arrange to draw additional reserve entries in the draw and record them in order, in case the winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid, or the prize is unclaimed (Reserve Entrants).

What can I win?
There is 1 prize (Prize) available.

The prize is a Supercars Racing Experience in Adelaide, Australia for the winner and 1 adult companion (aged 18 years or over by the conclusion of the Competition Period), valued at up to AUD $10,000 (depending on the winner's place of residence, which determines departure location), which includes the following for the winner and their companion:

3-day general admission tickets to Adelaide Supercars from 14th to 17th November 2024, including a behind the scenes tour, a gridwalk and a course car ride experience for the winner and their adult companion
4 nights' twin share accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Adeliade, Australia (as determined by the Promoter),
Round-trip economy flights (including airfare taxes) from the winner’s nearest Australian capital city to Adelaide, South Australia (not included if the winner resides within South Australia), and
1x AUD $1,000 VISA debit card or equivalent (for the winner only) to go towards transfers and incidental spending requirements associated with the trip.
Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Visa debit card are not included. Redemption of the Visa debit card is subject to the terms and conditions associated with the Visa debit card.

Tickets to the Adelaide Supercars event will be delivered via email.

For the avoidance of doubt, any travel provided by the Promoter requires that the winner and their companion make their own way to and from the winner’s closest Australian capital city airport at their own expense.

The prize is subject to any applicable law or guidelines, including in relation to a pandemic, any travel/government restrictions/directives, border closures, health advice and the like.

For the avoidance of doubt, the prize must be taken on the dates

specified by the Promoter or the prize will be forfeited. By accepting or participating in the competition, entrants, the winner and your companion accept these Terms and Conditions.

Total prize pool
The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD $10,000.

How many times can I enter?
The following entry limits apply:

There is a limit of 5 entries per person, email address and/or phone number in total.
You can only enter once per day.
You can only enter once per Qualifying Purchase.
Each entry must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

How and when will the winner/s be informed?
If you are a winner, you will be informed in writing within two business days of determination and your name and state/territory/postcode of residence will be published on the Website on 26/09/2024 for a period of 28 days.

If I win, when must I claim my prize?
You must claim your prize: by 9am (AEDT) on 18/10/2024.

To claim the prize, you must provide any requested details such as, but not limited to, age, I.D., name and address to comply with any eligibility requirements by the times/dates stipulated above.

Unclaimed prize/s
If the prize has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim time and date stipulated above, or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter cannot contact the drawn winner (or the drawn winner does not contact the Promoter) by this time and date, the entry will be discarded and the Promoter will re-award the prize to a Reserve Entrant and/or carry out an unclaimed prize draw by the same method and at the same location as the original draw to randomly distribute the prize at 1pm (AEST) on 18/10/2024.

Any such winner/s will be informed by phone and in writing within two business days of determination and will have their name and state/territory/postcode of residence published on the Website on 25/10/2024 for a period of 28 days. Any such winner will then have 14 days to claim their prize by confirming acceptance in writing. If any prize remains un-won at the end of this promotion, or if a prize winner cannot be found, that information will be published on the Website on 01/11/2024.

Entry
Your entry must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. If you return a Qualifying Purchase, your entry may be deemed invalid at the Promoter's discretion (unless product is defective). The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks outside its reasonable control. You are responsible for your own costs associated with entering. If you enter using automatically generated entries or multiple phone numbers/email addresses/addresses/multiple aliases you may be disqualified.
Prizes
Prizes and all elements of prizes must be taken as and when offered, and on the dates specified or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable and no alternative prize will be offered. Prizes are subject to any additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Promoter, including:
validity period/s;
booking and availability of flights, accommodation and events;
conditions of travel and conditions of entry into any venues (including behaviour requirements, COVID safety requirements and applicable dress codes);
travel dates and specified travel exclusion periods;
any additional fees (payable by you) relating to changes made by you/your companion to a prize after it has been booked must be paid by you or your companions as applicable;
the requirement to obtain all necessary documents to travel to any overseas location specified, including a current and valid passport and any visas required; and
a requirement to present your credit card when checking in to accommodation, which may also be used as security against hotel incidentals.
You/your companion (if applicable) are responsible for all other unspecified costs related to a prize, including meals, additional transport, insurance (including excesses), in-room charges, additional taxes, etc.
The Promoter is not responsible for any dispute between you and any person with whom you choose to, or choose not to, share a prize.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility if the event or activities awarded as part of the prize are abandoned, called off or postponed for any reason. In that case you and your companion forfeit your entitlement to that event or activity. Unless otherwise specified by the Promoter, you will not be given cash or any alternative prize as a substitute for this altered prize element.
General
If you are the winner, you and (if applicable) your companion will participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable marketing and editorial activities relating to the Competition, including (but not limited to) being recorded, photographed, filmed or interviewed and acknowledges that the Promoter may use any such marketing and editorial material without further reference or compensation you (or your companion). For the purposes of public statements and advertisements, the Promoter may only publish the winner’s surname, initial and State/Territory or postcode of residence.
Any material failure by you or your companion (if applicable) to comply with the conditions imposed by the prize supplier/s may result in a prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability for the Promoter or the prize supplier/s.
You/your companion (if applicable) must, if required by the Promoter, sign disclaimer and release forms provided by the Promoter in favour of the Promoter and other parties before taking the prize. If you or your companion do not sign, your entry will be deemed invalid and you will lose any entitlement to the prize.
Where entry is allowed by purchase or subscription, the cost of the product or service is no greater than the cost would be without the opportunity to participate in the Competition.
No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Competition. Where entry is allowed online, there is no additional cost to enter the Competition other than any cost paid by the entrant to access the website or social media platform of entry via their Internet service provider.
If you or your entry are deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions, including if you are unable to take the prize on the relevant dates, your entry (or at the Promoter's discretion, all of your entries) may be discarded. The Promoter may, at any time, require you to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction the validity of your entries and your identity (including documentation establishing your identity, age, place of residence and place of employment). In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by the Promoter to validate their entry, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.
You must not:
tamper with the entry process;
engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
breach any law; or
behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
Entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third party rights, including intellectual property rights, are not eligible to win.
If you win the prize, you are responsible for your companion and the Promoter may disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, you or your companion if they materially breach these conditions, whether or not legally bound by them.
If you or your companion (if applicable), in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter are intoxicated, under the influence of alcohol or any other drug, behave aggressively or offensively, or behave in a manner which may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or the agencies or companies associated with this promotion, or is contrary to law or is otherwise inappropriate, the Promoter may cancel the prize or restrict you and your companion from participating in any elements of the prize, at its discretion.
The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted for reasons outside the Promoter's reasonable control.
If any dispute arises between you and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this promotion or claiming the prize, the Promoter will take reasonable steps to consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. In all other respects, the Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.
The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash. Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all prizes (and elements of prizes) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement. The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST. The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value. You agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
By entering, you request that your full address not be published.
If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, government directive, a pandemic, public health orders and the like, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize. You should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
Liability
You may have consumer rights under statute including under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), which may be relevant to any issue or problem you encounter in relation to this competition and cannot be excluded or restricted. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts those rights. See www.accc.gov.au for more information about those rights.
Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury, illness or death suffered in connection with this competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).
Without limiting the previous paragraphs, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of or damage to prizes or for any damage that occurs to prizes if displayed at a Store due to circumstances beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.
The Promoter may communicate or advertise this competition using Facebook or Instagram. However, the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. You provide your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram. You completely release Facebook and Instagram from any and all liability.
Collection and use of your personal information
The Promoter collects personal information (PI) in order to conduct the competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://schick.com.au/privacy-policy. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning you. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how you may opt out, access, update or correct your PI, how you may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entrants details will be collected by Edgewell Personal Care PTY LTD, for the purposes of collating the entries for the draw, however, the Promoter will not disclose your personal information to any other entity outside of Australia.
