TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

By submitting an entry to this Promotion, you agree that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Information and material used to market the Promotion or to explain how to enter the Promotion forms part of these Terms (except that, if there is an inconsistency between that information and material and these Terms, these Terms and Conditions prevail). These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding contract between you as an Eligible Participant and IKEA Pty Limited (“IKEA”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “Promoter”).
2. ‘Game of Skill’: The Promotion constitutes a Game of Skill. Chance plays no part in the selection of the winners of the competition.
3. Promoter: The Promoter is IKEA Pty Limited (ABN 84 006 270 757) of 630 Princes Highway, Tempe NSW 2044.
4. Promotion Period: The Promotion commences at 12:00 am (Sydney Time) on Monday, 1 January 2025 and closes at 11:59pm (Sydney Time) on Wednesday, 15 January 2025.
5. Total Prize Pool does not exceed $10,000: Each Prize in the Promotion is an IKEA Reward card valued at $250 each (Prize) and are redeemable at any IKEA Retail Store and/or online for purchases. There are twenty-five (25) Prizes in total with the total prize pool valued at $6,250.
6. No correspondence: The Promoter’s Decision is final. By entering this Promotion, you acknowledge that no correspondence will be entered into with any person(s) in relation to any individual feedback and/or disputes about the Promoter's decision as to the competition winners.
7. Competition question and judging criteria: Explain in 25 words or less: what would help you sleep better this year? The Promoter will select the 25 most creative and interesting entries as determined by the judges (in their sole discretion) to win a $250 IKEA Gift Card. Entries must be submitted via the designated competition portal on the iKEA.com.au website. No other entry means will be accepted.
8  Eligible Participant: Entry is only open to Australian Residents who meet all the following criteria:
a. Are 18 years of age or over;
b. Provide their IKEA Family Membership details with their submitted entry;
c. Are willing to produce official government identification (if requested by the
Promoter); and
b. Are not directors, management, contractors and employees of the
Promoter and its related companies (whilst directors, management, contractors or employees of the Promoter cannot enter, their immediate family are eligible to enter if they satisfy the criteria in this clause 8.
9. ‘Australian Residents’ (under clause 8 means a person who:
a. Is currently residing in Australia (at the time that IKEA Australia received
and time-stamped the submitted entry); and
b. Has a State Government issued (Official driver's license and/or proof of age
card) identification that is current and valid that corresponds to a residential address in Australia.
For the avoidance of doubt, you are not considered an Australian Resident if you reside in New Zealand at the time of the submitted entry and/or you do not have a fixed address for Australian residency (as demonstrated by official identification under this clause 9).
For the avoidance of doubt, Australian Passports are not acceptable identification for the purposes of this Clause 9.
10. Verification and disqualification: Any entry not complying with these Terms is invalid. The Promoter reserve the right, in its sole discretion to:
a. deem invalid any Entry that is otherwise incomprehensible, offensive or incomplete, or which includes defamatory, insulting, inflammatory, objectionable or profane material, or which breaches any law, or which does not comply with these Terms;
b. verify that each entry is a valid Entry; and
c. disqualify any entry that is not a valid Entry.
A decision by the Promoter to not exercise its rights under this paragraph 10 does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
11. JudgingDate:JudgingofallEntriesreceivedduringthePromotionPeriodwilltake place from 3pm (Sydney Time) on Wednesday, 29 January 2025 at 630 Princes Highway, Tempe NSW.
12. Judging will be conducted on the Judging Date (as per Clause 11) by two members of the IKEA Australia Marketing team. The judges' decision in relation to any aspect of this Promotion is final and binding and is not subject to appeal, review or redetermination. You acknowledge by entering the competition that Clause 6 applies and that no correspondence will be entered into regarding any element of the judging process.
13. Notification: The Prize winners will be notified by the person’s IKEA Family registered e-mail address. Any updates to the person’s IKEA Family registered e- mail address must be made prior to entering the competition (on the entrant’s IKEA Family account).
14. Publication: The winner’s details will be published on our website on IKEA.com.au from Wednesday, 5 February 2025 for a duration of 2 weeks.
15. Delivery of Prize: The Prizes will be issued to the winners (in a Digital format) to the person’s IKEA Family registered e-mail address.
16. Not transferrable or convertible to cash: The Prize is not transferable and cannot be taken, refunded, exchanged or transferred as cash.
17. Redemption of prize: Additional terms and conditions apply to the use of IKEA Reward Cards. Validity of the IKEA Reward card is 1 year from the date of issue (as per the Fair Trading Act NSW 1987 (Section 58M(3) and Fair Trading Regulation NSW 2019 (Section 13(1)(g)).
18. No compensation: The Prize must be taken as described and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to utilise the Prize.
19. Limitation of Liability: Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity or profit); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
a. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
b. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
c. any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected
(whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond
the reasonable control of the Promoter;
d. any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms;
e. any tax liability incurred by the winner(s); and/or
f. use of the prize.
 20. Licence to publication and marketing: The winner(s) agrees that the Promoter may use their personal information and their user-generated content for the Promotion (including words, images, illustrations, photographs, data, information) for publicity, promotional, marketing, communication, research, profiling or commercial purposes, without compensation. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter may redesign, archive, reproduce, disseminate, display, publicly perform and/or replay and make publicly accessible, as well as to cut and edit, adapt and modify the content or any part of it in all formats on all Promoter or its related entities mobile applications, websites, social media or other marketing channels. By entering into the competition, the winner(s) assign a license in the Promoter’s favour to give this clause full effect. The Promoter is under no obligation to exercise this clause and there is no right of publication as a winner.
21. Force majeure: If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned (whether caused by infection by computer virus, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion), the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion and subject to any written direction given by a relevant regulatory authority, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and no compensation will be payable to any Eligible Participant.
22. Personal Information and Privacy: The Promoter collects personal information (including each winning Entrant’s contact details to arrange delivery of the Prize) in order to conduct the Promotion and may for this purpose:
a. send electronic messages or telephoning the Entrant;
b. disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to
agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers;
c. disclose to Australian regulatory authorities as required;
d. disclose such information to State and Territory lottery departments;
and/or
e. publish such information on any media.
The Promotor collects all personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms. Entrants are responsible for making themselves aware of the Privacy Policy before entering into the Promotion. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. For more information, please visit the Promoter’s website for its Privacy Policy.
 23. IKEA reservation of right to change or modify: While great care has been taken to ensure accuracy of the Promotion, the Promotor reserves the right to update these terms and conditions and recommends the Eligible Participant to review these terms and conditions prior to entering the Promotion. The Promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the law, correction of errors, and/or changes to the Promotion, including (but not limited to) the extension or the amendment of the Promotional Period to achieve the desired number of entrant(s). By entering this competition, you acknowledge that IKEA will not owe you any right of individual notification (should IKEA exercise this right under Clause 23).
24. Governing Law: The conduct of the Promotion and these Terms are governed by the laws of Sydney, New South Wales. By entering, each Entrant submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. If any term, provision or condition of these Terms and Conditions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, that term, provision or conditions will be severed from these Terms and Conditions, and the rest of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect and shall in no way be affected
