The Competition is a game of chance and is authorised under the Permits.
The material used to market and promote the Competition, forms part of the Competition terms. If there is an inconsistency between the material used to market and promote the Competition and the Competition terms, the Competition terms prevail.

Entry Requirements and Restrictions
Open only to Australian residents (or any person that has a current Australian residential address) who are aged 18 years or over and who is a valid current Flybuys member (or new Flybuys member who joins during the Competition Period) and a valid current Velocity Frequent Flyer member (or new Velocity Frequent Flyer member who joins during the Competition Period).
To be a valid Flybuys member the Flybuys member account must include the member’s full name, a valid postal address, a valid email address and a valid contact phone number, current at time of the prize draw.
Directors, officers, management and employees (and their immediate family members) of the Promoter or of the other agencies or companies associated with the conduct or running of this competition are ineligible to enter.
Competition Period
From 12.01am (AEST) on 01/05/2025 to 11.59pm (AEST) on 30/06/2025.
Entry Method
To receive an automatic entry (or entries) in the prize draw, Flybuys members must do one or more of the following actions between 12:01am (AEST) on 01/05/2025 and 11:59pm (AEST) on 30/06/2025 (Competition Period):
(a) First ever link
You will receive one (1) entry into the prize draw when you link your Flybuys account and Velocity account for the first time. For your first ever link entry to be eligible, your Flybuys account and Velocity account must remain linked until the Draw Date.
(b) Manual Transfer
You will receive two (2) entries into the prize draw for every 1,000 Flybuys points you manually transfer from your Flybuys account to your Velocity account, which converts to 500 Velocity points. For your entries for manual transfer to be eligible, your Flybuys account and Velocity account must remain linked until the Draw Date.
(c) Auto Transfer
Turn on Auto Transfer (includes members who already have Auto Transfer turned on) and receive four (4) entries into the prize drawfor every 1,000 Flybuys points you auto transfer from your Flybuys account to your Velocity account, which converts to 500 Velocity points. For your entries for auto transfer to be eligible, your Flybuys account and Velocity account must remain linked, and you must remain opted into Auto Transfer until the Draw Date.
The following additional criteria applies when transferring points from your Flybuys account to your Velocity account:
If you have linked your Velocity account to your Flybuys account, you can choose to manually transfer a minimum of 1,000 Flybuys points at a time to your Velocity account. Each time you transfer 1,000 Flybuys points to your Velocity account, it will convert to 500 Velocity Points in your Velocity account.
If you choose to opt into Auto Transfer, your entire existing Flybuys points balance (to the highest multiple of 1,000 Flybuys points) will be automatically transferred to your linked Velocity account, and every 1,000 Flybuys points you subsequently collect will be automatically convert to 500 Velocity Points in your Velocity account.
There is no limit to the amount of Flybuys points you can transfer to your Velocity account.
Only one Velocity account can be linked to a Flybuys account at any one time.
To turn on Auto Transfer, the full name and date of birth on your Flybuys account and linked Velocity account must match. You can de-link or manage your linked accounts at any time at experience.flybuys.com.au/partners/velocity-frequent-flyer.

Alternatively, to turn on Auto Transfer, visit experience.flybuys.com.au/partners/velocity-frequent-flyer/and sign in to your Flybuys account then turn your Auto Transfer preference to ‘On’. This selection will apply to all members under that specific Flybuys account. You can turn your Auto Transfer preference to ‘Off’ at any time and will still be able to manually transfer your Flybuys points to your Velocity account. Please allow up to 48 hours for Velocity Points to be credited to your linked Velocity account and for your Flybuys points balance to be updated. Once Flybuys points have been transferred to your Velocity account they cannot be transferred back to your Flybuys account.

Entry Limits

Prizes
Major Prize
The first 50 valid entries drawn will each be awarded a Major Prize consisting of a domestic return economy flight with Virgin Australia for two passengers.*
Minor Prize
The next 50 valid entries drawn will each win a Minor Prize consisting of 10,000 bonus Flybuys points and 10,000 bonus Velocity Points. *
There are 100 prizes in total to be won during the Competition Period: 50 Major Prizes and 50 Minor Prizes. Each Major Prize consists of a domestic return flight for two with a maximum total value for all Major Prizes totalling $314,000 AUD (each prize has a maximum value of $6,280 AUD for a domestic return flight for two). Each Minor Prize consists of 10,000 Flybuys points valued at up to $50 and 10,000 Velocity Points valued at $305.16 AUD.
The 10,000 Velocity Points may be redeemed for goods and services with an approximate value of $305.16. Velocity Points will be allocated to the Winner’s Velocity membership account only. Value is based on a sample of the Velocity Points options that could be obtained by redeeming the Prize through the Velocity program at the time of this promotion. The estimate of value is provided for the purposes of licensing this promotion only – the value of the Velocity Points will vary depending on how and when they are redeemed by the Winner through the Velocity Points program.

Awarding Prizes
Flybuys points will be automatically allocated to the Flybuys Account associated with the Minor Prize Winner’s eligible entry within 30 days of the respective prize draw date and Velocity Points will be credited to the Velocity Account associated with the Minor Prize Winner’s Entry within 30 days of the respective draw date.

Flybuys will send an email to Major Prize Winners which provides instructions on the steps to redeem their flights. Major Prize Winners can book their flights by directly contacting Virgin Australia.
Virgin Australia Return Economy Class Flight Prizes are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Flights are return economy class [Fare Class X] and expire 12 months from the send date of the email notifying the winner they are a Major Prize recipient. The expiry date for using the Prize will be stated in the email. The expiry date cannot be extended. Your outbound flight must depart prior to the expiry date of the Prize.
The flights are non-redeemable for cash or any other prize.
Tickets redeemed under this Prize are valid for Virgin Australia operated flights only and not code share services.
Tickets are non-transferable (i.e. no name changes allowed after tickets are issued).
Major Prize includes two (2) persons travelling together on the same booking.

Flights booked cannot be changed or cancelled online. You will need to contact Virgin Australia’s Guest Contact Centre (13 67 89). Changes or cancellations may be subject to a fee in accordance with Fare Rules applicable to your booking. Changes and cancellations are subject to availability and must be made at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure. Fare differences may apply.

If for any reason a winner does not, once the flights have been booked, notify Virgin Australia at least 24 hours prior to scheduled departure that they and/or their companion are unable to take the booked flight at the time stipulated, their prize will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Tickets may not be sold or offered for resale (including via online auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original recipient or any subsequent bearer. If a Ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, it will be cancelled at Virgin Australia’s sole discretion.
Tickets cannot be upgraded and are not valid to earn Velocity Points or status credits.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and your travel companion(s) (if any) are fit to travel and have the requisite visas, vaccinations, valid documentation (including but not limited to valid passports and visas) which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.
The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination or as part of the prize.
A winner is responsible for all other expenses including spending money, flight upgrades, meals, drinks, transfers, luggage costs, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes, energy surcharges, gratuities, service charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurrent in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
As a condition of accepting or participating in a Prize, a winner and the winner’s companion/s must accept these conditions. The Major Prize winner is expected to provide a copy of these terms and conditions to their chosen companion. A winner is fully responsible for the acts and omissions of any companion/s and the Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit participation in this competition by, the winner and any companion, if the winner or their companion breaches these conditions, whether or not legally bound by them.
The awarding of the Major Prize, including all flights and flight booking related enquiries will be handled by Velocity Frequent Flyer and Virgin Australia Airlines. Minor Prize components are the responsibility of, and will be provided by Flybuys and Velocity, respectively.
Winner determination for Flybuys household accounts
Only Flybuys members who are the named Flybuys primary account holder will be eligible to win a prize.
Individuals whose Flybuys membership card is linked to another Flybuys account as a ‘household member’ are eligible to enter this competition, however if their entry is drawn as the winning entry, then the prize will be awarded to the individual who is the named Flybuys primary account holder, and not the individual who holds the linked account.
Draw Details
The Competition Period is 60 days, and the Promoter will draw the winners from the pool of valid entrants at the Draw Time on the Draw Date at the Draw Address.
The first 50 valid entries drawn will each win a Major Prize and the next 50 valid entries drawn will each win a Minor Prize.
The draw is for entries received during the Competition Period.
The first 100 valid entries drawn by the Promoter from entries received during the Competition Period will win a prize.
The awarding of prizes is restricted to one prize per entrant, except for SA residents.
The Prize Draw will be conducted at 10.00am (AEST) (Draw Time) on the Draw Date which will occur on 07/07/2025 at Focal Promotions, 2/7 Stayner Street Beaumaris VIC 3193.
The Promoter may request that winners provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency to the Promoter’s reasonable satisfaction before awarding the prize. If a winner does not provide proof of identity, proof of age or proof of residency to the Promoter’s reasonable satisfaction within 90 days after being drawn as a winner, the Promoter may redraw the prize in accordance with the Unclaimed Prize Draw details.
Winner Notification and Publication
The winners will be notified via email within seven (7) days after the Draw Date and the winners’ first name initial, last name and postcode will be posted on the Flybuys website and Velocity website within seven (7) days after the prize draw date for a period of 28 days.
If there is no prize winner or the prize winner cannot be found, the Promoter will publish that information on their website at flybuys.com.au.
Unclaimed Prize Draw Details
10.00am (AEST) on 08/10/2025 at the same location as the original draw.
Unclaimed Prize Draw Winner Notification and Publication
Any prize draw winners in the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be notified in writing (or via email) within seven (7) days after the Draw Date and the winners’ first name initial, last name and will be posted on the Flybuys website within seven (7) days after the draw date for a period of 28 days.
