https://www.qantas.com/au/en/promotions/bangarra-illume.htmlTo celebrate 25 years of partnership with Bangarra Dance Theatre, Qantas is giving you the chance to win double passes to their new work, Illume.
Bangarra Dance Theatre’s latest production, Illume, is a landmark collaboration between Mirning choreographer Frances Rings and Goolarrgon Bard visual artist Darrell Sibosado. The work draws inspiration from Sibosado’s Bard Country, on Western Australia’s far north-west coast.
Blending music, visual arts and dance, Illume explores the profound significance of light in First Nations cultural existence over millennia - as a vital force that connects the physical and spiritual realms - while also tracing the impacts of light pollution amid a climate emergency. Illume poses a pressing question: Can the deep knowledge passed down from Elders illuminate a path out of the looming darkness ahead?
To celebrate, we’re giving away 25 double passes for you and a guest to experience this production in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. All performances include audio description, which is available on request.
