Interior Delirium is the debut album from Solo Career, the project of Annabel Blackman, recorded between tours and sessions for her band Body Type. Blackman deliberately preserves what she calls "jagged edges" rather than polished results, combining distorted synthesisers with fuzzy guitars across eight tracks that move from vibrant new wave to slow-burning dream-pop.

The songs tackle everyday absurdities with wit and tenderness. 'Spring Drills' pokes fun at relentless urban construction noise, while 'Neo Soul Jazz Afternoon' takes aim at bland shopping mall soundtracks through dreamy melodies. 'Spenda' confronts online shopping addiction with robotic electro-pop, and 'Is That U' offers a satirical look at cosmetic surgery culture.

Personal connections balance the chaos and alienation. 'GWD' serves as an affectionate tribute to bandmate Georgia Wilkinson-Derums, built around pounding, hazy arrangements, while the album closes with 'Bed Knot', a lush ode to domestic intimacy.
