This summer, we’re asking people ages 16+ to put down their phones and pick up a book (and maybe touch some grass) to go in the running to win a book lovers' prize valued at $300! There are three chances to win, one each month of summer!
We want to see what you’re reading, and where you’re reading!
Is it your backyard? The beach? A boat? A swanky holiday? We want to see it all!
Simply snap a photo of your book of choice in your best summer location and submit it to our Summer Snaps challenge page! Each new book counts as a new entry!
Bonus points for a borrowed Kingston Libraries book!
Audiobooks are included in this challenge, too! All reading is valid!
This summer, expand your reading horizons and maybe your physical horizons, too!
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Who can enter?
1. Entry is open to anyone who is aged 16+ years and is a member of Kingston
Libraries*
*Council employees and their immediate family and/or household members are
not eligible to enter. 'Immediate family' means spouse (including de facto), child,
parent and sibling (and includes ‘step’ variations of same).
How to enter
2. Take a photo of you reading over the summer holidays and upload it to
yourkingstonyoursay.com.au/summer-snaps or tag us on socials with
#SummerSnaps #kingstonlibraries.
3. All photos that include a book will be included in the draw to win a Summer Snaps
Book Lovers prize Pack valued at $350. Each new book submitted counts as a new
entry.
4. Entries open 10am Monday 1 December 2025 and close 5pm Saturday 28
February 2026.
The selection
5. Winners will be selected and announced in the first week of January, February
and March via our website and social media (Facebook and Instagram). Winners will
be notified via phone or email.
6.Selected winners will be determined by library staff.
7. The winner must arrange to collect the prize, in person, from a Kingston Libraries
branch.
8. If the prize is not collected within 8 weeks of the winner being notified, a new
winner will be chosen at random from the original entries.
General
9. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. All photos will become the property of Kingston Libraries and may be used in
promotional material.

11. Purpose of collection: Council will collect the personal information of individuals
who submit an entry to be able to contact the winner
