Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon tells the story of legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke) on the evening of March 31, 1943, as he confronts his shattered self-confidence in Sardi’s bar, as his former collaborator Richard Rodgers (Andrew Scott) celebrates the opening night of his groundbreaking hit musical Oklahoma!.
By the time the night ends, Hart confronts both a world that no longer values his talent and the seeming impossibility of love.
