Terms & Conditions:
Agreement: These Terms and Conditions apply in respect of the IKEA Australia
Family Fact or flat-pack Competition (Promotion). By submitting an entry to this
Promotion, you agree that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by
these Terms and Conditions. Information and material used to market the
Promotion or to explain how to enter the Promotion forms part of these Terms and
Conditions (except that, if there is an inconsistency between that information and
material and these Terms, these Terms and Conditions prevail). These Terms and
Conditions form a legally binding contract between you and IKEA Pty Limited (“IKEA”,
“we”, “us”, “our”, “Promoter”).
Game of Chance: The Promotion constitutes a Game of Chance. Skill plays no part
in the awarding of prizes in the competition which consists of answering 9 (nine)
‘true’ or ‘false’ questions (with unlimited attempts permitted).
Promoter: The Promoter is IKEA Pty Limited (ABN 84 006 270 757) of 630 Princes
Highway, Tempe NSW 2044.
Promotion Period: The Promotion commences at 12:00am (Sydney Time) on
Monday, 18 May 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm (Sydney Time) on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
Total Prize Pool: Each prize awarded is an IKEA Reward Gift card (digital format)
valued at $50 each (Prize) and is redeemable at any IKEA Australia retail store and/or
online. There is a total of twenty (20) cards to be awarded in this Promotion (total
prize pool is $1,000).
Eligibility: Entry is only open to persons who satisfy all the following criteria:
a) c) 18 years of age (or over);
b) an Australian Resident; and
have a current IKEA Australia Family membership
An ‘Australian Resident’ above means a person who Is currently residing in Australia
(at the time that IKEA Australia received and time-stamped the submitted entry). For
the avoidance of doubt, you are not considered an Australian Resident if you reside
in New Zealand at the time of the submitted entry and/or if you do not have a fixed
Australian residential address on official government issued ID. You agree that
should IKEA wish to sight your ID (before declaring you as a Winner) that if you are
unable to comply with this request to the satisfaction of IKEA you will forfeit the prize.
How to enter: The following online link https://www.ikea.com/au/en/offers will
feature a link to the competition portal and is the only acceptable method to enter
the Promotion. The Promotion consists of a total of 9 (nine) ‘true’ or ‘false’ questions.
The questions are based on general knowledge of IKEA and/or general knowledge of the IKEA Family membership benefits and rewards. You must answer at least 6 (six) questions correctly for your details to be entered into the Draw and once achieved you will be prompted to login to your IKEA Family
account and/or register to be an IKEA Family member (if you do not currently have a
membership). Unlimited attempts are permitted, and the questions remain identical
with each attempt (all corresponding correct response(s) are static and do not
change).
Draw: The Draw will be conducted electronically using a randomiser function to
select the 20 Winners of the Prizes by the Promoter at its head office (located at
Tempe, New South Wales). The Draw will take place at 10:00am AEST (Australian
Eastern Standard Time) on Wednesday 27 May 2026.
Notification: The Winners will be notified via their IKEA AUS Family registered e-mail
address on Monday, 1 June, 2026. Any changes to your registered e-mail address
must be made prior to entering the competition (via the IKEA Family account profile).
Not convertible to cash: The Prize cannot be taken, refunded, exchanged or
transferred as cash.
Redemption of the Prize: Additional terms and conditions apply to the use of the
IKEA Reward Gift Cards. Please visit the IKEA website for terms and conditions that
applies to the redemption of the IKEA Rewards Gift Card. Validity is 1 year from the
date of issue and only redeemable towards purchase from IKEA Australia.
Limitation of Liability: Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the
Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including
negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of
opportunity or profit); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in
any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the
following:
a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the
Promoter’s control);
b) c) any theft, un-authorised access or third party interference;
any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected
(whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond
the reasonable control of the Promoter;
d) any prizes delivered to an incorrect e-mail address that was the registered
address (as per records) at the time of entry;
e) any tax liability incurred by the Winner; or
f) use of the prize.
Tax: Any tax liability arising because of accepting the Prize is the responsibility of the winner.
