An essay film by filmmaker and archivist Sari Braithwaite, [Censored] offers an overview of film censorship in Australia, told through an ever-changing collage of images compiled from the footage that was cut from films released domestically between 1951 and 1978.

Alongside these shifting sequences – which range from the comically absurd to the brutal, from educational films to sexual material, and all points in-between – Braithwaite talks about the images, the films, and the shifting cultural mores that have changed the processes of classification and the response to it.
