After reading yours Yasimum, I did not think I had a chance, because my theme was Irish for St Patrick's day.  It went something like this:

Thought Irishl whiskies had dulled my brain!
Saw blue leprechauns dancing in the rain!
Checked my glasses!....Oh dear!
Wiped away the bluish smear,
and magically the leprechauns were GREEN again!

Lol!  Darn it!  I never watch morning TV so I didn't realise that Sandy!  Oh well, never mind.  Loved your limerick too Kelly and as it has no reference to someone who isn't even on the show, I think it stands a better chance!  Good luck to all who entered!
I didn't know that, either, I should have Googled the hosts and worked that in, but you never know...!

Oh yours are all great. Mine was a limerick about Jetstar and word green was added in and it now makes mine seem so corny

This was fun.  You guys had some great entries.

 Here was my silly limerick.

"Feeling green after last night’s pub-tour
Weekend Sunrise you’ve got the cure
Rise and shine there’s lots to view
Fashion, celebrities and the news
Its a date, to be sure, to be sure."

That was perfect njt!  Love the Irish lingo at the end!  It was fun thinking up a limerick win or not!

The winner was a male ?Ray? maybe, sorry was at work when it came on and of course someone rang at the time they were giving the details.  His limerick had been read out yesterday and and was just very Irishy. Don't recall many of the words but he didn't weave in any hosts names or Jetstar. I had the impression they'd forgotten all about it as it was very close to the end of the sow so can't help wondering if they just chose from those they had read out yesterday.  I put:

There was a morning Host named O'Keefe
Who could gab & sing like an Irish Chief.
He drove a green car,
Loved flying Jetstar
And when he danced, he just wore a cloverleaf.

Next time...
