Weekend Sunrise Competition ~
 
Here’s a challenge for you to all learn
 To win two Jetstar tickets return
 Just include the word ‘green’
 In your own rhyming scene
 And send it before we adjourn
 
Rules:

1) You must compose a limerick (like the one above) containing the word ‘green'

 3) One winner will receive two return Jetstar tickets to any capital city in Australia

Tomorrow, they said. Wondering just how good it will be when they read out one that didn't even have the word 'green' in it and another which just repeated a line to make it rhyme.

I forgot to watch!  I wonder if they read out mine.

There once was a young man named Koch,
Told others how to make lots of dosh
He burst onto the screen,
The other stations were green,
When on Sunrise, his foe he did squash!

From memory, mine went something like this:

It's never been easy being 'Green',
The colour seems to be considered 'Extreme',
Any other hue seems to be okay,
But what it comes down to at the end of the day,
Is that 'Green' is considered 'Obscene'!

I think you might have pipped me, though, Yasimum, I LOVED your limerick!

  I didn't hear that one and I watched most of the show. They didn't read out many.  I hate to tell you but Kochie isn't on the Weekend Sunrise which is running the comp.  It's hosted by Andrew O'Keefe and Samantha Armytage.  You never know though.

Lol!  Darn it!  I never watch morning TV so I didn't realise that Sandy!  Oh well, never mind.  Loved your limerick too Kelly and as it has no reference to someone who isn't even on the show, I think it stands a better chance!  Good luck to all who entered!
