I have a list of prizes that I would like to win this year.

I enter to win prizes for friends, family, and care packages.

One year, I won two washing machines for two of my friends only to have both of them rejected. :0

One stated that it would not fit in her laundry - not true, and the other friend advising me that she wanted a top loader.

I would love to win another holiday. This time, for at least a week away somewhere...

Rarely will I sell something. One of my neighbours has taken some items to sell at a group that she is a member of - with the proceeds going towards the group's expenses.

**Some of my parcel delivery people have been the recipients of good prizes, and are happy to receive some unwanted movie tickets**

I mostly enter things that I want for myself, my partner or for gifts. I only want to spend time entering things that I'd like because I really can't be bothered trying to sell something that I've won and I guess I'd probably feel a bit greedy winning things just to sell them. In saying that, I've sold tickets to events/concerts twice, but only due to a last minute inability to attend. If I win a movie ticket prize pack I usually only want the movie tickets so the extra stuff like promotional watches, hats, bags etc go to the salvos, friends, etc. I think when you first start comping it's tempting to enter everything because it's exciting just to win, but after a while I think most people realise that they don't really want 'stuff' just cluttering up their home and not actually being used. Personally I wouldn't bother selling things I win normally, like movie tickets, but I don't really have anything against those who choose to do so. Once you win something, it's yours regardless of what you want to do with it. Also, selling double passes cheaply can be great for people who can't be bothered entering competitions, but who want cheap tickets (ie. a lot of friends I have!)

I used to enter competitions just for the thrill of winning anything. As I've got older though I have become much more selective in which competitions I enter.

I basically enter competitions now because the prize is one I really want to win for myself and/or a prize I can give/donate to friends, relatives or a worthwhile charity. I very rarely sell any prizes I win. I love giving prizes away to people I know will appreciate them.  Very Happy

I too, when I started comping, entered everything. Suddenly we had a heap of DVD no one wanted to watch, and CD by artists no one knew, and when they heard them, did not want to know them. Now I enter for things I want or know my family and friends would like to have. I try to avoid low value prizes (except movie tix and books) as my time to comp is limited and I try to get the best value for my time. I also weigh up the value of the prize againt the effort. I would not write 25WOL for a prize woth $25, I would not enter an SMS or pone comp, where it costs me, if the prize is minimal or movie tix.
I do try to enter some 'daily entry' comps. The most valuable prize I have won, was a daily entry.
I love the  "Unwanted Prizes" section of ACC and have been able to buy some things I have wanted at very cheap prices. I rarely selll anything, as someone I know usually wants it. But I am happy to sell movie tix, or other prizes that I can't use. But if it is a prize without a value, like tix to special promotional shows, where there are only free tix, even when the experience is priceless, or Preview tix, then I offer them as freebies.

I enter comps with prizes big or small that I can use or I can give to my family, the last 2 years I've had Christmas best parts covered and I have a big family. Being on a pension it gives me a chance to spoil my family and myself with things and experiences I wouldn't usually be able to afford.

I don't enter comps with movie tickets I can't use for the big chain cinemas, we only have a Reading cinema in our nearest big town. I learnt that one the hard way,  years ago winning a major prize, a private  screening for 40 people that I couldn't use because of being too far away.

I'm a lot more selective now. I'm not fussed whether the prize is big or small if I can use it I'll enter it, I can enter senior comps, baby comps I enter for my daughter and daughter-in-law who both have babies. That said though I don't enter childrens comps because I feel they should be left for the kids to enter.

I've never sold a prize, can usually find a home for it, however I was tempted last year with 3 bike wins and the fuse ball table, never got around to it, selling prizes may be an option if I ever get around to it, who knows.

I'm picky about which holiday comps I enter....could be why after many years of comping I'm yet to win a holiday. I don't enter ones that are too energetic, like trekking some place or dare devil action packed holidays, I'm not built for that sort of thing!

I'm quite parcial to purchase a product to enter comps and magazine comps, I've won my best prizes from those comps.
