Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry is open to Real Living magazine readers who are Australian residents aged 18 years or over only. Prize number 27 (the International School of Colour & Design educational courses) is only redeemable in metropolitan Sydney. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one entry permitted per specified purchase requirement and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements. The promotion commences 10:00am, AEST 16 August, 2010, and closes at 23:59pm, AEST 19 September, 2010. Enter by purchasing Real Living magazine and looking up the prize which you would like to enter to win. Tell us your contact details including your name, postal address and email/phone contact and answer in 25 words what "BEING REAL" means to you and indicate the prize number you wish to win (as labelled in the magazine). Send your completed entries by mail to Birthday Prizes, Real Living magazine, PO Box 4088, Sydney, NSW 2001. Alternatively, send your completed entries by email to reallivingprizes@acpmagazines.com.au, with your name and the prize number you wish to win (as labelled in the magazine) in the subject window. Incomplete, incomprehensible and illegible entries will be deemed invalid and will not be included in the judging. All entrants must retain their copy of Real Living as proof of purchase.
This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. Judges' decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and binding on all who enter and no correspondence will be entered into.

The promotion will be judged by a panel of judges. Judging will begin on 12 noon on 5 October, 2010 at the judges' premises. Prior to judging all entries will be split into their respective category to ensure that each entrant has a fair and equal chance of winning. The best entry/entries in each category as determined by the judges will be deemed the winner and will receive the prize as stated below. Exact number of winners for each category is stated below. The winners will be notified by mail using contact details provided in their entry.

Prize # 27: International School of Colour & Design (3 winners)
The winners will each receive an International School of Colour & Design (ISCD) Styling With Colour short educational course in Sydney, valued at $400 each. Total prize pool: $1200. Total prize pool is valued at $58939.76. Prizes do not include any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize. These are the responsibility of the winner. Inclusion of prizes awarded (including but not limited to colours, sizes, designs, brands, material, style etc) will be determined by the Promoter in its complete discretion.
The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition are governed by the Privacy Notice.
If for any reason a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited.
If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion reserves the right to substitute the prize (or part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
Where component of the prize is awarded in the form of a voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass, any costs in excess of the value of the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass (including GST) and all ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are the responsibility of the winner. In the event that the cost of items/ services purchased using the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass is less than the value of the voucher, the balance of the value of the letter/ ticket/ pass /voucher will not be awarded as cash. The Promoter shall not be liable for any voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way. Redemption of the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass is subject to any terms and conditions specified on the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass. Redemption of prize is subject to the normal business guidelines of the service provider/ venue of redemption. Prize and any unused portion of the voucher/ ticket/ letter/ pass prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. In the event that for any reason whatsoever the prize is unavailable or unable to be awarded to the winner, the Promoters reserve the right to substitute a different prize item of equal or greater value and/or specification.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (f) participation in the promotion and/ or (g) redemption of a prize.
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
All entries become the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Notice (see below).
By entering the competition and providing an email address, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter's other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in.
