How to Enter:
To vote for a business in the Leader Awards – Melbourne's Local Favourites, entrants are required to visit
www.melbournesfavourites.com.au or mail in a Leader Awards – Melbourne's Local Favourites voting form, as featured in their local Leader during the promotion period.
1.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions of entry. By entering the promotion, you accept these terms and conditions.
2.The promoter is Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd, 1-7 Chapel St, Blackburn Vic 3130. ABN 34 004 337 446

3.The promotion is known as the "The Leader Awards – Melbourne's Local Favourites".
4.Entry is available to Victorian residents who live in the Leader Newspapers distribution area only. See the end of these terms and conditions for a full list of suburbs. Employees and their immediate families of Leader Associated Newspapers Pty Ltd and News Ltd are ineligible to enter.
5.Leader Newspapers privacy policy is available by visiting
www.leadernews.com.au and following the relevant links.
6.Promotion commences at 9:00am AEST 2/8/10 and finishes at 5.00pm AEST 31/8/10 ("promotion period").
7.Entrants can vote for a business in two ways:
Online: Entrants must visit
www.melbournesfavourites.com.au and enter their name, address, telephone numbers, email address and the name of their local Leader newspaper. Entrants must then complete the details of the business they are entering, including the Business's name, address, suburb and the category in which the business operates.
Mail In: Entrants must complete the entry form as published in Leader newspapers during the promotion period and post it to Leader Awards – Melbourne's Local Favourites Locked Mail Bag 7, Blackburn Vic 3130 before the closing date. Only original entry forms as published in Leader newspapers will be accepted. Copies will not be accepted as valid entries.
8.It is a condition of entry that the entrant accepts they may be contacted by telephone or email to verify their entry.
9.Entrants may enter as many times as they like, however they can only enter one vote per business per category.
10.This promotion is one of a game of chance. All valid entries will form part of the random draw.
11.The first valid entry drawn per paper (33) will win a Westfield Gift Cards valued at AUD500.
12.Total prize pool value is AUD16500.00
13.All entries become the property of the Promoter. By entering the promotion, entrants agree that their entry may be used for the purposes of promoting Melbourne's Local Favourites online, in-paper and in any other medium.
14.The prize draw will be held at 10.00am AEST on 1/09/2010 at the office of Salmat Interactive, Innovation Place Level 17, 100 Arthur Street, North Sydney NSW 2060.
15.Each prize winner will be notified by telephone call or mail within 7 days of the draw and the winners details will be published in the Classifieds Section of Leader Community Newspapers on Monday 13 September, 2010.
16.Prizes will be distributed within 28 days of the winners being notified.
17.An unclaimed prize draw will take place three months after the first draw at 12:00pm Wednesday 1 December, 2010. Winners will be notified by telephone call or mail within 7 days of the draw and the winners details will be published in the Classifieds Section of Leader Community Newspapers on Monday 6 December, 2010.
18.The prize is non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash or in-kind and must be taken as offered. No responsibility is taken for the winner's loss of the prize.
19.Leader Newspapers reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process.
20.Leader Community Newspapers is not responsible for any technical malfunction or problems with the internet or network congestion, including injury or damage to the participant's or any other person's computer which may affect participation in this promotion or transmission of entries over the internet.
21.The Promoter does not accept responsibility for illegible, late, lost, misdirected entries or entries sent but not received by Leader.
22.The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries remain the property of the promoter and will not be returned to the entrant.
23.The promoter and companies associated with this promotion shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking the prize.
24.In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster the Promoter reserves the right (subject to all relevant and territory regulations) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
25.The personal information supplied to Leader Newspapers is for the purpose of entering this competition and may be used by us or any of our Australian related companies for future marketing and publicity purposes. We or any of our Australian related companies may be in touch by any means at any time in the future to let you know about goods, services or promotions which may interest you. Your personal information may also be disclosed to organisations to which we outsource our operations. This personal information may also be disclosed to third parties to determine whether an entrant has breached the terms and conditions. By entering this promotion, you consent to us so using and disclosing your personal information for these purposes. Please contact us on Ph.
