Is there ever a time that isn’t perfect to visit Taronga Zoo?

Sydney’s playground for furry friends is a family favourite every day of the year.

Right now, families visiting Taronga can check out the Zoo’s new Pygmy Hippo calf, Kambiri, and visit the new Tasmanian Devil Breeding Centre.

The QBE Free Flight Bird Show and the Seal Show remain a spectacular highlight of a day at the zoo as children learn all about animals that take flight and frolick underwater.

There are loads of keeper talks and presentations about wildlife from gorillas to popular Asian elephant calves, Luk Chi and Pathi Harn, and their herd.

Littlies can also visit the KidZoo at Backyard to Bush where they get the chance to meet and cuddle fluffy guinea pigs and rabbits.

For parents there’s the added bonus of the Sky Safari cable car where you can sit back, relax and soak up the panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline.

Taronga Zoo giveaway - Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to enter form part of these conditions. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is only open to NSW residents. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, and its agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter the promotion.
3. The period for entry into the promotion commences at 09.01am AEST Monday August 30 and closes 4.59pm AEST September 7.
4. To enter, log on to your participating local Cumberland Courier Newspaper website, follow the prompts and tell us in 25 words or less what animal you want to visit at Taronga Zoo and why. Also enter your valid name, address, email address and daytime phone number OR write your answer and your valid name, address, email address and telephone number on the back of an envelope and send to ‘Taronga Zoo’ competition, PO BOX 662, Parramatta CBD DC, NSW 2124. One entry per person only.
5. Prize is a family pass prize pack worth $108.80 AUD only. Ten (10) prizes to be won in total.
6. The competition will be drawn at 12pm AEST September 8.
7. This is a promotion based on skill, with 10 winners picked based on humour, creativity and originality of their answer. Winners will be notified by mail. The judge’s decision is final.
8. All competitions are conducted at 142-154 Macquarie St, Parramatta, NSW 2150.
9. The total prize pool for this promotion is maximum $1088.00AUD only.
10. Any additional expense incurred as a result of winning this prize is the responsibility of the winner,

12. Family passes are valid until May 2011.
13. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
a. inaccurate / incorrect transcription of entry information;
