Visit the website of any of the Participating Newspapers (except South Burnett Times and Central Burnett Times) and fill out the online entry form. All entries completed and submitted during the Promotion Period with a valid email address will go into the draw. Online entries are limited to one per day for each Participating Newspaper OR
Book and pay for a newspaper motoring advertisement in a Participating Newspaper’s Drive Classifieds during the Promotion Period by calling 1300 136 181. The advertiser will receive an automatic entry for each advertisement.Contestants may submit more than one entry during the Promotion Period but any Contestant may only win one of the prizes.
Any form of entry that does not meet the entry requirements will be deemed invalid and not counted as a valid entry.
All entry times are considered to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter.
Prizes: There are 8 Uniden Trax 5000 GPS devices to be won for each Participating Newspaper (or group of Participating Newspapers where they are listed together above), a total of 144 GPS devices. Each GPS device has an individual RRP of $349. Total prize pool is valued at $50,256.
One prize winner will be selected each week for each Participating Newspaper (or group of Participating Newspapers where they are listed together above) by random draw at 10.00am AEST at the Promoter’s office at 9 Hercules Street, Hamilton QLD 4007 on 13.09.10, 20.09.10, 27.09.10, 04.10.10, 11.10.10, 18.10.10, 25.10.10, 01.11.10 (a total of 8 prize draws for each Participating Newspaper or group of Participating Newspapers) (“Weekly Prize Draws”).The acceptance of entries for each Weekly Prize Draw will close at 5.00pm AEST on the working day prior to each draw (“Closure Time”). All entries received during the Promotion Period will be entered into the relevant Weekly Prize Draw (based on its Closure Time) and all subsequent Weekly Prize Draws.
Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All winners will be notified by mail and where possible by telephone within three (3) days of the relevant draw. The names of the weekly prize winners will be published in the public notices section of the relevant Participating Newspaper on 17.09.10, 24.09.10, 01.10.10, 08.10.10, 15.10.10, 22.10.10, 29.10.10, 05.11.10. or the immediately following publication day if the Participating Newspaper is not published on Friday.
Prizes must be claimed by the winner in person at the relevant Participating Newspaper’s office.All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his / her name, character and likeness. All prize winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the prize winner.
Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.
All prizes that remain unclaimed 90 days after the final draw will be redrawn by random draw in an unclaimed prize draw to be held at 10:00pm (AEDT) on Friday 5th February 2011 at the same place as the original and names of winners of the second draw will be published in the public notices section of the relevant Participating Newspaper on Saturday 6th February 2011 or the immediately following publication day if the Participating Newspaper is not published on Saturday.
Upon request by the Promoter a copy of these conditions of entry and/or a signed receipt and acknowledgement must be signed and endorsed by any winner to indicate his/her understanding and acceptance of these terms.
If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned including (but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the Promoter’s control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, we are entitled in our sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition. The Promoter reserves its legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender.
The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner. The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost or stolen after they have been released for delivery via postage or courier.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any of the goods offered as prizes, and the Promoters are not liable for any loss suffered or sustainedto personal property, including but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss, by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoters or their servants or agents, in connection with the Competition.
By entering this competition you agree to allow the Promoter and its partners in this promotion to contact you for any future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
