1.Information regarding prizes and how to enter forms part of these conditions. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.
2.Entry is open only to Australian residents aged 18 or over except directors, officers, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, officers, management and employees) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition.
3.The competition begins on 30/08/10 and ends close of business (local time) on 26/09/10 (Competition Period). Entries must be received by the Promoter by last mail received on 01/10/10.
4.To enter, consumers must, during the Competition Period:
a.purchase one or more Vileda Naturals products (Eligible Purchase) from a participating Safeway or Woolworths store (Store);
b.obtain an entry form from that Store and fully complete the entry form, including by stating the number of Eligible Purchase products purchased (as evidenced in the entrant’s Eligible Purchase receipt attached to their entry); and
c.send the entry form in an envelope, together with a copy of their original purchase receipt/s clearly showing each of their Eligible Purchases, the date/s of the Eligible Purchases and Store location, to: “WIN a Ford Fiesta ECOnetic Promotion” REPLY PAID 3000, South Melbourne VIC 3205, to be received by last mail received on 01/10/10.
5.Entrants will receive one entry into the competition for each Vileda Naturals Cloth, Sponge or Scourer product purchased and five entries into the competition for each Vileda Naturals SuperMocio Mop or Recycled bucket product purchased, as evidenced on their Eligible Purchase receipt/s. Entrants may enter as many times as they wish provided that each entry (or set of five entries, as applicable) is based on a separate Vileda Naturals product purchased. Failure to provide the required receipt/s to the Promoter may result in an invalid entry (and, at the Promoter’s discretion, in all of the entrant’s entries bring invalid).
Entries must be on the original entry form. The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed or illegible entries, claims or correspondence due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, theft, destruction or otherwise. Entrants who enter using multiple postal addresses and/or aliases may be disqualified.
6.A draw will be conducted at 12 noon (AEDT) on 08/10/10 at 104/55 Beach St, Port Melbourne VIC 3207. The first valid entry randomly drawn from all entries received will win the major prize. The next 200 valid entries randomly drawn from all entries received will each win a secondary prize.
7.The major prize is a 2010 Ford Fiesta ECOnetic car, including on road costs, (in a colour as selected by the Promoter) valued at up to $26,990 (inc GST) depending upon the winner’s location of residence. The major prize does not include comprehensive insurance, additional options, petrol, any other accessories not specified or any other ancillary costs associated with redeeming the major prize. The major prize winner is responsible for arranging their attendance at the premises of the Ford dealer nominated by the Promoter to collect the vehicle. The major prize winner must provide all information and sign all documentation necessary to enable the Promoter to register the vehicle in their name prior to collection. To be eligible to claim the vehicle, the major prize winner must be capable of obtaining registration of the vehicle in his or her name in accordance with the applicable legislation in the state or territory in which the vehicle is collected. If the major prize winner is, through any legal incapacity or otherwise, unable to register the vehicle in his or her name then he or she may, notwithstanding any condition set out in these conditions of entry to the contrary, assign the vehicle to another person with legal capacity for the purpose of registration of the vehicle. The major prize winner will be entirely responsible for the vehicle from the date and time of its collection and the Promoter is not responsible or liable for any damage, defects, repairs or other issues associated with the vehicle after the date and time of its collection.
8.The secondary prize is a Jurlique Skincare pack valued at $113 (inc GST). There are 200 secondary prizes to be won. The secondary prize pool is valued at $22,600 (inc GST).
9.The total prize pool is valued at up to $49,590 (inc GST).
10.The prize winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.
11.All winners will be notified in writing. The major winner will also have their name and state/territory of residence published in The Australian on 15/10/10. By entering this competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published.
12.The Promoter may require winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age, and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
13.If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of that prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with paragraph 6.
14.Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. If a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required.
15.If a prize has not being accepted or claimed within three months of the draw, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter will conduct such further draws on 21/01/11 at the same time and at the same location as the original draw as are necessary to distribute the prize/s, subject to any requirements of any gaming authority. In the event of a new major winner in this draw, their name and state/territory of residence will be published in The Australian on 28/01/11.
16.The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
17.Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage or delay in transit to prizes.
18.The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
19.If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, if required.
20.The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where this competition involves, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants agree to follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
21.All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this competition. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants. Unless the entrant has marked the “opt-out” box on the entry form, the entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s products including contacting the via electronic messaging. The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Entrants can request access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter at the address below.
