samotor Credit Union Christmas Pageant Clown competition
Ever dreamt of becoming a clown? One samotor reader will have this opportunity (at least for a day) by joining the select few who’ll clown around in the Credit Union Christmas Pageant on 13 November. The winner will attend clown school on 1 November, enjoy a free breakfast on pageant morning and receive a clown certificate.

1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of the conditions of entry.

2. All employees of the promoter and its related bodies corporate are ineligible to enter.

3. The competition commences on 8 September 2010 and finishes on 18 October 2010.

4. The competition consists of one prize in total. The winner will get the opportunity to be a Clown in the Credit Union Christmas Pageant on 13 November. The winner will attend Clown School on Monday 1 November, enjoy a free breakfast on pageant morning and receive a clown certificate.

5. Prize value is in Australian dollars. Individual prize value is $1000. Total prize pool valued at $1000.

6. The winner must be able to attend Clown School on Monday 1 November 2010, 7.00–8.00pm. Clown School will teach you everything you need to know about being a clown, including how to use your prop and interact with the audience and other clowns in your group.

7. The winner must attend a costume fitting – at a time to be arranged with the Pageant wardrobe staff.

8. The winner must abide by Pageant participant rules (a copy of the rules will be provided).

9. The winner must arrive by 6.30am on Pageant morning (Saturday 13 November 2010) to get into costume and make-up (make-up artists are provided), participate in the Corporate Clown group photo, enjoy a free breakfast and be ready in your Pageant position by 9.00am.

10. The winner must walk the Pageant route. The route is 3.2 kilometres long, however by interacting with the crowds lining both sides of the route, be prepared to walk around 6 to 8 kilometres in total.

11. The winner must not use the position for the purposes of company or individual publicity without prior consent from the South Australian Tourism Commission, including photographs by the media, comments to the media or in any media program.

12. The winner must not wear or display any sign or words or symbol promoting yourself your company or in any way act in a way that might be perceived as promotion in the Pageant or in the Pageant set up area.


13. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

14. Only current financial RAA members are eligible to enter.

15. To enter, the entry form featured on the RAA competitions page (www.raa.com.au/competitions) must be filled in or alternatively one must write their name, address and RAA membership number on the back of – or inside – an envelope and post it to:

16. The winner will be drawn through a random process.

17. All draws will take place at the RAA, 101 Richmond Rd, Mile End at 10am on 22 October 2010.

18. The first entry drawn that fulfils the competition entry criteria will win the prize.

19. The winner will be notified by email, mail or phone within 14 days of the draw date.

20. The winner will be published in the Summer 10-11 issue of samotor published on 1 December 2010.

21. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or taken for cash.

22. The promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

23. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
(i) inaccurate / incorrect transcription of entry information;
(ii) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
(iii) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
(iv) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
(v) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
(vi) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;
(vii) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or
(viii) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.

24. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
