The following Terms & Conditions apply for The Advertiser and Sunday Mail and SA Lotteries “100 Apple iPad Giveaway” Competition (the “Competition”).
1. DURATION OF THE PROMOTION
The Competition commences on Saturday 13 November 2010 and concludes at 11.00pm (CDST) on Friday 26 November 2010 or on such other dates and at such other times as the Promoter determines. This is the Promotional Period.
2. METHOD OF ENTRY
To be eligible to enter this Competition, participants must be South Australian residents and aged 18 years or over.
There are two methods to enter this promotion as follows:
Method 1
Participants will need to complete in full one (1) entry form and attach five (5) tokens. Entry forms will be published in The Advertiser on Saturday 13 November 2010 and Saturday 20 November 2010 and Sunday Mail on Sunday 14 November 2010 and Sunday 21 November 2010.
To complete an entry form published on either Saturday 13 November 2010 or Sunday 14 November 2010, participants will need to collect the five (5) tokens published in The Advertiser from Monday 15 November 2010 to Friday 19 November 2010 (inclusive). Each entry form must contain all five (5) week 1 tokens and the completed personal details as requested to be eligible to enter the first prize draw.
To complete an entry form published on either Saturday 20 November 2010 or Sunday 21 November 2010, participants will need to collect the five (5) tokens published in The Advertiser from Monday 22 November 2010 to Friday 26 November 2010 (inclusive). Each entry form must contain all five (5) week 2 tokens and the completed personal details as requested to be eligible to enter the first prize draw.
Once an entry form is complete and all five (5) correct tokens are attached, participants must post his/her completed entry form to: “100 Apple iPad Giveaway”, Adelaide Mail Centre SA 5884. All postal entries must be received by the last post at the Adelaide Mail Centre on Thursday 2 December 2010. Alternatively, completed entry forms can be delivered in person to the Promoter by 5.00pm (CDST) on Thursday 2 December 2010.
Only original entry forms and tokens will be accepted. Only one entry form per envelope will be accepted and all accompanying tokens must be included in the same envelope.
Method 2
Participants must purchase a X Lotto ticket for the end of year X Lotto Megadraw, to be drawn on 31 December 2010, and visit the website
www.adelaidenow.com.au/100ipads to complete the online entry form in full including the requested details and the 17-digit serial number from the purchased X Lotto ticket, during the Promotional Period.
Only one (1) entry per person per day will be accepted. Each subsequent entry must be submitted via a separate online entry form and contain a unique serial number from a further X Lotto ticket purchased during the Promotional Period and not previously entered in the Competition.
All X Lotto tickets are subject to security and validation checks at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
Incomplete entries or entries not complying with either entry method may be deemed ineligible to enter the prize draw, at the Promoter’s discretion.
3. PLACE, DATE & TIME OF PRIZE DRAW
Method 1
Fifty (50) entries will be randomly drawn on Monday 6 December 2010 at 11.00am (CDST) from the total pool of eligible entries received via method 1. The draw will be conducted at the Promoter’s premises.
Method 2
Fifty (50) entries will be randomly drawn on Monday 6 December 2010 at 11.30am (CDST) from the total pool of eligible of entries received via method 2 during the Promotional Period. The draw will be conducted at the Promoter’s premises.
4. NATURE AND VALUE OF THE PRIZES
The persons named in the one hundred (100) entries drawn will each win one (1) Apple 16 gigabyte WIFI iPad. If any person named in a drawn entry is a subscriber to either The Advertiser or Sunday Mail, an additional prize of a $50 iTunes voucher will be awarded.
Total prize value of iPads: $79,900.00
Maximum prize value of vouchers: $5,000.00
Total maximum prize value: $84,900.00
5. METHOD OF ADVISING RESULT OF DRAW
Each prize winner will be notified by telephone and mail by the Promoter using the details provided on the drawn entry form.
All prize winners’ names will be published in The Advertiser Public Notices on Wednesday 8 December 2010.
6. PRIZE COLLECTION AND UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAW
All prizes must be collected from the Promoter between 3.00pm (CDST) Wednesday 15 December 2010 and 5.00pm (CDST) Thursday 10 February 2011. All prize winners will be required to provide photographic identification at the time of prize collection.
In the event that collection does not occur within the nominated period, an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted at 11.00am (CDST) on Friday 11 February 2011. The unclaimed prize draw will involve the random selection of additional prize winners equivalent to the number of unclaimed prizes for each entry method and will be drawn from the remaining postal and/or online entries, as applicable. The unclaimed prize draw will be conducted at the Promoter’s address.
Additional prize winners, if any, will be notified by telephone and mail by the Promoter using the details provided on the drawn entry form. Additional prize winners’ names will be published in The Advertiser Public Notices on Wednesday 16 February 2011.
Any prizes won in the unclaimed prize draw must be collected from the Promoter by 5.00pm (CDST) on Monday 28 February 2011. Any prize which remains unclaimed after this time will be forfeited to SA Lotteries.
7. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Employees of the Promoter, SA Lotteries, its agents and associated companies with this Competition and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. For the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, see today's classified index page.
A prize is not transferable or redeemable for its cash equivalent. The prize does not include any other costs of a personal nature not stated. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the recipient is unable to use it as stated.
Any change in the value of prizes between the publishing date and the date prizes are claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter. Any additional costs incurred by the prize winner, other than those which form part of the prize, are the responsibility of the prize winner. The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of the Competition is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Each participant agrees that by participating in this Competition, his/her name and photograph may be used for promotional purposes.
The Promoter and its agencies associated with this Competition are not liable and do not accept responsibility for:
a) any lost or misdirected entries not received by the website or Promoter’s service provider;
b) an entry which is received and subsequently corrupted or rejected by the website server or Promoter’s service provider;
c) any late, lost or misdirected postal entries; or
d) any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained:
i. in connection with an entrant’s participation in the Competition or the taking of the prize, except that which cannot be excluded by law; or
ii. relating to the conduct of the Competition however caused, including failure of the website or the Promoter’s service provider or incorrect or corrupt data supplied by the Promoter to the participant.
8. PRIVACY
By entering the Competition, participants consent to the Promoter's collection of the personal information on an entry form for the purpose of conducting the Competition. Participants also consent to his/her name being printed in The Advertiser if they are selected as a prize winner. If a participant does not provide the required information, that participant will be ineligible to be entered into the prize draw.
