Apple iPad Competition



HOW TO ENTER

To be eligible, participants must first register on the www.ismycv.com.au website as a job seeker and upload their video profile.


1.Entry instructions and prize information form part of the Terms and Conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2.The promoter of the competition is Is My Software Pty Ltd ACN 136 024 256 of 1 Williamsons Road, Doncaster, Victoria (“Promoter”).
3.To be eligible, participants must first register on the www.ismycv.com.au website as a job seeker and upload their video profile. The competition is open to Australian citizens who are residents of Australia. Entrants must have a valid email address and must be 15 years of age or older. Employees of the Promoter and Johns Lyng Group Pty Ltd, and their immediate families, are ineligible. Entrants may only register for the competition once. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible registrations will be deemed invalid for the purposes of this competition.
4.Entrants will be notified by message appearing to them at www.ismycv.com.au once their entry has been received by the Promoter.
5.The competition commences at 8am (EST) on 18 October 2010 and closes 11.59pm (EST) 30 November 2010.
6.The prize is a 32GB Apple iPad™. If for whatever reason the prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it for a prize of equal or greater value. The prize is valued at RRP$928.00 (including GST), based on pricing appearing at the Apple website as at 16 October 2010. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
7.The draw for the prize will take place 12pm (EST) on 7 December 2010 at 1 Williamsons Road, Doncaster, Victoria. Details of all entrants will be placed in a box and a winner will be drawn randomly by a representative of the Promoter. The first valid entry drawn will win the prize.
8.The winner will be notified in the Public Notices Section of The Herald Sun on the next business day after the draw.
9.The winner will also be contacted by the Promoter by email to confirm the address for delivery of the prize. The Promoter will post the prize to the winner, provided that the address specified is an address within Australia. The Promoter will not be liable for any damage to the prize caused during postage or shipping.
10.If the winner does not respond within 7 days of the email notifying them of their win, the winner will forfeit the prize and the Promoter may re-draw the competition, in which case the subsequent winner will be notified in the manner set out in clauses 8 and 9.
11.The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process (including fraud).
12.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine the identity of an entrant.
13.The Promoter shall not be responsible for any technical malfunctions or problems with internet or network congestion including any damage to or loss of any entry or any damage to a participant’s or any other person’s computer related to participation in this competition.
14.Each entrant consents to the Promoter using their personal information provided in connection with their entry, for the purposes of undertaking any investigation in connection with verifying the identity of an entry or any suspected tampering.
15.Subject to clause 10 if for any reason a winner does not redeem the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited.
16.All ancillary costs associates with accessing the Promoter’s website, redeeming the prize (including any costs associated with connection to any network and any accessories) will be the responsibility of the winner.
17.The Promoter’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
18.The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the competition. If the information is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the competition. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory Lottery agencies and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation.
19.Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrants’ name, likeness, image and/or photograph in the event that they are the winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purposes of promoting this competition and the services of the Promoter.
20.The Promoter makes no representation or warranty as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prize. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising any way out of the competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
a.any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction;
b.any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
c.any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
d.any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions;
e.any tax liability incurred by the winner or entrant; or
f.any use of the prize.
21.Without limiting the foregoing, all warranty claims are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the manufacturer of the prize.
22.The Promoter is in no way supported, endorsed or sponsored by Apple Computers Inc.
