By entering the Pet Pageant – Funniest Pet promotion you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. PRIZES
1.1. There is one (1) prize to be won. The prize is: $1,500 gift voucher from Pet Stock
1.2. The Prize value is :$1,500
1.3. The above mentioned value is for people living within the standard service area of Cairns. The full complement of the prize must be taken as offered and is not redeemable for cash or any other services.
1.4. Unclaimed prizes will be kept by The Cairns Post for no more than three months from the day the winner is drawn
1.5. Winners will be determined by The Cairns Post – winner will be announced in The Cairns Post on Monday, December 13.
1.6. Where any prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal value at the publishing date.
2. HOW TO ENTER
2.1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2.2. The competition commences on Monday, November 15 at 00.01 (AEST) and concludes on Monday, December 6 at 17:00 ("the Competition Period")
2.3. In order to enter the competition entrants must visit
www.cairns.com.au/competitions and enter their details into the corresponding competition.
2.4. Entrants must upload a photograph, and only original digital photographs will be accepted, no photocopies.
2.5. Each entrant who has entered the competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with the competition will be entered into the prize draws. All draws will take place at The Cairns Post Pty Ltd, 22-24 Abbott Street, Cairns, Queensland, 4870.
2.6. At times a third party promotional partner will be involved in the promotion. As part of the Terms & Conditions of entry you agree to receive promotional emails from the competition’s third party.
2.7. The winner/s may be announced in The Cairns Post (subject to the Online Director’s discretion). The prize winners will be notified by email/phone and their name/s will appear at
www.cairns.com.au/competitions.
2.8. The Promoter's decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
2.9. Entrants (including winners) in the competition may enter as many times as they like. On occasion entry will be limited to one entry per email address.
3. WHO CAN ENTER?
3.1.
Entry is open only to residents of Far North Queensland due to the fact that the prize provider is unable to provide the prize outside of that geographical area.
3.2. Entry is open only to persons aged 18 years or older, and proof of age and residency (eg. Drivers licence) must be shown upon request.
3.3. Employees and their immediate families of The Cairns Post Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and third party competition companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
4. NO LIABILITY
4.1. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter's ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
4.2. The Cairns Post Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail, which are not as a result of fault of the Promoter.
4.3. The Cairns Post Pty Ltd and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
4.4. If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
