How to enter:
Register as a member of the Black List via
www.guinness.com.au and submit 1 x review of a
venue on the Black List. Each review must contain the following:
A. Pint rating – a rating between 1 and 5 of the quality of the Guinness pint that you purchased
from the venue
B. Venue tips – a one line description about the venue and a tip of 25 characters or more about
the venue. The one line description needs to reflect your experience of the venue. The tip needs
to provide a useful piece of information about the venue for other drinkers.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.
2. Entry is only open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and older. Employees (and their
immediate families) of the Promoter, Participating Outlets and their agencies associated
with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. The promotion will only be conducted online at
www.guinness.com.au between
November 1st 2010, and 11.59pm AEST January 15th, 2011 (Promotion Period).
4. Entries will be judged between January 15th 2011 and January 20th, 2011 and winners
notified via email after this. Entries will be judged on creative merit and affinity to the
brand. The winners will be notified by phone and in writing. The Promoter’s decision is
final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. The Promoter may conduct such further draws on the date falling 3 calendar months after
the original prize draw (or next working day thereafter), at the same place as the original
draw, as are necessary in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by that date subject
however to any written directions given under any State Regulations. Winners in any
unclaimed prize draws will be notified by mail and the winner(s) of any prize valued in
excess of $250 will have their names published in The Australian within 7 days of the
unclaimed prize draw.
6. There will be 1 winner and 3 runners up drawn from all valid entries received during the
Promotion Period.
7. Prize: 1st prize will receive an Andrew Wells design handcrafted wooden surfboard valued
at $2600. Runners up will receive a Barbeques Galore Patiomaster 2 burner BBQ valued
at $249rrp. Due to legal restrictions, residents of the Northern Territory are exempt from
entering this promotion. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the
prize value. Prizes, including any unused portion, are not transferable or exchangeable
and cannot be taken as cash, unless indicated otherwise. Total prize pool $3,347.00
8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any
entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity,
potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who
tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these
Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct
in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally
damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. The Promoter
reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner
and/or the winner's entry is of a type described in this clause.
9. Contest entries and material submitted in connection with any contest (whether in
written, audio, electronic or visual form, or a combination of those) or any photographs,
video and/or film footage and/or audio recording taken of competitors become the
property of the Promoter which may use the material in any medium (including internet)
and in any reasonable manner it sees fit. All present and future copyright in any such
material becomes and remains the sole property of the Promoter. Entrants undertake to
the Promoter that their entry is not in breach of any third party intellectual property
rights.
10. As a condition of entry, winners will need to email a photocopy of proof of age
identification to the Promoter. Winners of prizes can expect to receive their prize within
10 working days of sending this proof of age identification.
11. Incomplete, illegible or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
12. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered
(including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is
suffered or sustained, as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which
cannot be excluded by law.
13. The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy drinking its products responsibly. Legal
aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the
National Health & Medical Research Council Australian Alcohol Guidelines.
14. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If
the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the
promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees
that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may
use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any
further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants’ personal
information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners’
names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access,
update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set
out below.
