(link edited as you need to verify your age before you can enter the site - MT)

This is a promotion I helped set up. So I'm sharing it here to help everyone be part of it.

You just need to play the game, submit the best score and win a signed cricket bat worth $2000. It's an awesome Xmas gift for any husband (or cricket living female)

The game is actually quite simple (no crazy arcade action needed) but it'll take a few turns to get a great score.

As I am part of this I can't enter Sad but I can answer any questions or problems you have with it.

Wolf Blass Ultimate Cricket Test Online Game Competition
Conditions of entry

1.Information regarding prizes and how to enter forms part of these conditions.  By entering, entrants accept these conditions.

2.Entry is open only to Australian residents aged 18 years or over except directors, management, officers and employees (and the immediate families of directors, management, officers and employees) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition.

3.The competition begins 12.01am (AEDT) on 01/11/10 and closes at 11.59pm (AEDT) on 12/12/10 (Competition Period).

4.To enter, consumers must, during the Competition Period:
a.play the Ultimate Cricket online game (Game) available on www.wolfblass.com.au in accordance with the Game rules; and
b.when prompted, register their score by entering their details including by providing their full name, unique user name, address, email address and contact telephone number (and any other details as requested by the Promoter
).

5.If an entrant creates a user name that is deemed by the Promoter to be offensive or otherwise inappropriate, the user name will be removed (in the Promoter’s absolute discretion) and the entrant’s registered scores for the Game will not be accepted.  Consumers may enter this competition as many times as they wish.  Entrants using multiple aliases, user names or email addresses to enter will be disqualified.  All entries must be received by the Promoter during the Competition Period.

6.The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft, communications failure or otherwise.  The Promoter has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise.  The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred.

7.Entries not fully complying with these conditions of entry may be deemed invalid at the Promoter’s discretion.  This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winners.  The judges’ decision with respect to all aspects of this competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8.At the end of each week during the Competition Period, the ten entrants who have registered the highest scores for the Game (as indicated on the official Game “leader board”) during that week will receive a weekly prize, as described in paragraph 13.  All scores on the Game leader board will be cleared at the beginning of each week of the Competition Period.

9.In the event of two or more entrants having the same overall highest score at the end of a week during the Competition Period, the Promoter will ask the tied entrants to answer a question (as determined by the Promoter) in 25 words or less and the entrant who provides the best answer (as determined by the Promoter based on literary and creative merit) will be deemed the weekly prize winner for the relevant week.

10.At the end of the Competition Period, the entrant who has registered the highest overall score for the Game (as indicated on the official Game leader board) will receive the major prize, as described in paragraph 14.  Note that non-residents of Australia may play the Game and be included on the official Game leader board but are ineligible to enter this competition or win prizes.

11.In the event of two or more entrants having the same overall highest score at the end of the Competition Period, the Promoter will ask the tied entrants to answer a question (as determined by the Promoter) in 25 words or less and the entrant who provides the best answer (as determined by the Promoter based on literary and creative merit) will be deemed the major prize winner.

12.Entrants who register their score will be given an option to start a “challenge leader board” (which is separate to the official Game leader board) whereby entrants can send their score to their friend/s challenging them to beat their score.  Entrants who send their score to their friend/s via the “challenger leader board” function must have permission from their friend/s to send the “challenge leader board” email.  For the avoidance of doubt, the top ten registered scores on any “challenge leader board” will not be awarded prizes (unless the registered score is in the top 10 scores as indicated on the official Game leader board and qualifies for a prize under paragraph 8 or 10).

13.There are in total 60 weekly prizes to be won; 10 weekly prizes each week during the Competition Period.  The weekly prizes are:
Week 1 & 4     Cricket keyrings valued at $14.95 each.
Week 2 & 5     Wolf Blass caps valued at $39.95 each.
Week 3 & 6     Cricket bat and ball valued at $29.95 each.

14.The major prize is a cricket bat signed by the Australian cricket team valued at $2,000
.

15.All winners will be notified by email.

16.If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry that entry will be discarded and the prize will be awarded to the entrant with the next highest registered score, and paragraph 8 will apply (if applicable).

17.The Promoter will require the winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency.  Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.

18.The winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.

19.The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

20.Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage or delay in transit to prizes.

21.The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

22.Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.  The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.  If a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter.

23.If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries.

24.The Promoter is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings.  Independent financial advice should be sought.  Where this competition involves, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants will follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.

25.The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy alcohol responsibly. Legal aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the National Health and Medical Research Council Australian Guidelines to Reduce Health Risks from Drinking Alcohol.  A full version of these Guidelines is available at http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/_files_nhmrc/file/publications/synopses/ds10-alcohol.pdf.

26.All entries will be the property of the Promoter.  The information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this competition.  The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with entrants.  By entering this promotion, entrants consent to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotion and marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging.  By entering this competition, entrants consent to receiving SMS or email messages from the Promoter that do not contain any functional unsubscribe facility.  The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.  Entrants can request access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter at the address below.

27.The Promoter is Foster’s Australia Limited (ABN 76 004 056 106), 77 Southbank Boulevard, Southbank Victoria 3006.
