TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.
Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of
Entry.
2. This promotion is open to residents of Australia. Directors, management and
employees of the Promoter or the agencies or companies associated with this
promotion and the immediate families of these persons are ineligible to enter.
3. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and
entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to
disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these
Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process including but not
limited to tampering by way of use of techniques designed to avoid the payment
of SMS. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion.
Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not
constitute a waiver of those rights.
4. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
5. Promotion commences at 6am AEDST on 17th December 2010. Promotion
closes at 5.00PM AEDST on the 17th January 2011 (“Promotional Period”).
6. To enter, eligible entrants must purchase the new Libra tampons featured on the
promotional page in Ok and NW magazines during the promotional period.
Entrants must email in 25 words or less why they should win an LA trip for any redcarpet
music event, thanks to Libra. Entrants must also include their name, address,
age (if under the age of 21), email address and daytime telephone contact phone
number. Completed entries must be sent via email to
libracompetition@acpmagazines.com.au.
6. The winner must provide proof of purchase to the Promoter to validate their
entry. Determination of whether or not proof of purchase provided will be
accepted is made by the Promoter in its complete discretion.
7. If the winner is under the age of 16 years of age, she/ he must be accompanied
on their prize winning trip by their parent or legal guardian. It is a condition of
accepting the prize that the winner and/ or (depending on age of the winner) their
legal guardian sign any legal documentation provided to them by the promoter.
Form of any such legal documentation will be selected by the Promoter in its
complete discretion.
8. The winner must be able to travel to LA at their selected award date. Prize must
be redeemed to coincide with the scheduled event. Date of event is determined
by the winners selection of 2011 music Awards and the date of that respective
event as scheduled by the Event organisers. Once winner has selected the
music Awards show they wish to redeem their prize at, the prize will not be able
to be exchanged or changed in any way.
9. Winners must have a valid passport and comply with USA visa requirements and
all other standard requirements of travel.
10. Multiple entries permitted, each entry must be (a) only one entry permitted per
specified purchase requirement; (b) submitted separately and in accordance with entry
requirements and (c) each entry must be substantially unique11. The judging will take place at 10.00AM AEDST on Tuesday the 18th January
2011 at The Promoters premises (Level 7, 717 Bourke St, Docklands 3008). The
major winner will be notified by telephone and / or mail using contact details
provided in their entry. The names of prize winners will be published in the public
notices section of The Australian on Tuesday the 20th January 2011.
12. There will be one major prize winner. The major prize will receive the major prize
valued at up to $25,000 (depending on point of departure). The prizes includes:? Two return (2) x Economy flights from the winner’s nearest capital city
(Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Canberra) to Los Angeles USA.
No transfers to or from the airport within Australia
? Three (3) nights first class shared hotel accommodations (based on double
occupancy)
? Breakfast buffet daily within the hotel
? Two (2) tickets to an LA music award show of the winners choice. Selection of
awards show will be available from a list of LA based Awards shows as provided
to the winner at time of winner notification.
? Entrance for two (2) to the VIP After Party
? Transfers to the event from the winners hotel by private chauffeur driven
limousine
? Personal Concierge includes 24/7 access to our LA based representative. The
personal concierge will also accompany the winners to the awards show and the
after party. Choice of After Party that winner will attend will be determined by the
Promoter in its complete discretion.
? Round trip airport sedan transfers from LAX airport. Selection of sedan providing
round trip transfers will be determined by the Promoter in its completed
discretion.
13. Total prize pool is valued up to $25,000.Prize does not include transport to and
from the winners nearest capital city in Australia to the winners residence,
spending money, meals (unless otherwise stipulated) and any other ancillary
costs associated with redeeming the prize. These are the responsibility of the
winner. Ticket component of the prize is a ticket only general admission ticket, for
the removal of doubt there is no special access granted to the winner.
14. Redemption of prize is subject to booking and availability at time of booking.
15. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any loss or damage suffered in
the event that the winners selected music awards show is cancelled, postponed,
rescheduled, relocated for any reason whatsoever.
16. Prize must be redeemed in full between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2011
and must be taken to coincide the winners selected event. Winner must provide
their choice of Music Awards show to the Promoter by 20th January 2011
17. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be requested to present their
credit card upon arrival at any accommodation to cover all incidentals they may incur
during their stay
18. Where component of the prize is awarded in the form of a voucher/ letter/ ticket/
pass, any costs in excess of the value of the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass
(including GST) and all ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize are
the responsibility of the winner. In the event that the cost of items/ services
purchased using the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass is less than the value of the
voucher, the balance of the value of the letter/ ticket/ pass /voucher will not be
awarded as cash. The Promoter shall not be liable for any voucher/ letter/ ticket/
pass that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
Redemption of the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass is subject to any terms and
conditions specified on the voucher/ letter/ ticket/ pass. Redemption of prize is
subject to the normal business guidelines of the service provider/ venue of
redemption. Prize and any unused portion of the voucher/ ticket/ letter/ pass prize
is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Major prize
must be redeemed in full by date stipulated by the Promoter at time of winner
notification.
19. Prizes, or any unused portion of the prizes, are not transferable or exchangeable
and cannot be taken as cash. Prize values are given by the supplier and are
correct at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any
variation in the value of the prizes occurring between the publishing date and
date the prizes are claimed.
20. If for any reason a winner does not take a prize or an element of a prize by the
time stipulated by the Promoter, then that prize or that element of that prize will
be forfeited.
21. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion,
reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to
the equal value and/or specification, subject to reference to all relevant state and
territory regulations.
22. The Promoter may contact an entrant at any time after receiving an entry,
including without limitation, during or after the promotional period or after the
judging, for the purpose of determining whether the entrant meets the eligibility
requirements.
23. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic
means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and
will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
24. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either
caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated
with or utilised in this competition, or by any technical error that may occur in the
course of the administration of this competition. The Promoter assumes no
responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in
operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or
unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
25. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including
due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention,
fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter
which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness or integrity or
proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole
discretion (subject to all relevant state and territory regulations) to cease the
promotion with fair notification to the entrants. The form of such notification is at
the complete discretion of the Promoter.
26. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including
its officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for
any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity);
whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the
Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any
technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the
Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference;
(c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected
(whether or not after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the
reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated
in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant;
or (f) redemption of the prize and/or (g) participation in the promotion.
27. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The collection use and
disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is
governed by the Privacy Statement located within the contents page of all ACP
Magazine Titles.
28. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the
promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not
participate in the promotion. Entrants’ personal information may also be
disclosed to SCA Hygiene Australasia for marketing purposes. Collection , use
and disclosure of personal information provided to SCA Hygiene Australia will be
governed by the SCA Hygiene Privacy Statement at

A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the

29. By entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email
regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the
Promoters' other publications, products, services and events and to promote third
party goods and services it may be interested in, including emails SCA Hygiene
Australasia to promote, market and publicise SCA Hygiene Australasia products.
