Terms and Conditions

1.    Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.  Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2.    Entry is open to all residents of Australia.  Employees of the Promoter (their immediate families) and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

3.    Promotion commences at 12.01am AEST on 20 December 2010 and closes 11.59pm AEST on 16 January 2011 (“Promotional Period”).

4.    This promotion will be running in Cleo Magazine (January issue) on the Kate Moss feature story.  To enter, entrants must send an email to cleo@acpmagazines.com.au with the subject title “Vintage Muse” answering the questions “Who is your beauty muse and why? Also include your, full name, address and daytime telephone number.

5.    The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.  Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

6.    Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

7.    Only one (1) entry permitted per person.

8.    This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. The judge’s decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and binding on all who enter and no correspondence will be entered into.

9.    Judging will begin on 15 November 2010 at the Promoter’s premises 54 Park Street, Sydney. This promotion will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. Winners will be notified by email using contact details provided in their entry.

10.    The best five (5) entries, as determined by the judges, will each receive a 50mL Vintage Muse fragrance signed by Kate Moss valued at $39.95. Total prize pool valued at $199.75.

Prize does not include any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize. These are the responsibility of the winner.

11.    Items included in prize pack (including but not limited to size, colour, brand etc) will be determined by the Promoter in its complete discretion.” Prizes valued in Australian dollars. Prize values mentioned are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing.



12.    If any prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.

13.    Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise specified.

14.    If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
15.    Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoters) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant (f) redemption of the prize and/or (g) participation in the promotion.
16.    By entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in.

17.    The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by The Privacy Notice (see contents page for location in this issue).
