Every childhood educator, carer, director and service nominated in the 2011 Australian Family Child Care Awards will receive a special certificate acknowledging the outstanding work they perform in child care and the special place that they hold in the hearts of the children they care for and their families.

Please note that name and address details used to print and post certificates are based on the information provided on the nomination form and we cannot guarantee certificates will be received by the nominee if such information is incorrect or incomplete.

State Winners

All State Winners will receive:

•A luxurious two night stay at The ShangriLa Hotel, Sydney at the Awards Celebration, including the Awards Gala Luncheon, flights, transfers, meals, 2 nights’ 5 star accommodation, and day spa treatment, valued at up to $1.600.
•An Educational Experience gift voucher, valued at $450
•A framed certificate
National Winners

All National Winners will receive:

•A luxurious two night stay at The Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney at the Awards Celebration, including the Awards Gala Luncheon, flights, transfers, meals, 2 nights’ 5 star accommodation, and day spa treatment, valued at up to $1,600.
•A One World for Children training grant valued at $4,000
•An Educational Experience gift voucher, valued at $1,000
•A full financial plan courtesy of Catholic Super, valued at $800
•An outdoor banner courtesy of National Childcare Accreditation Council, valued at $500
•Travel vouchers, valued at $1,000
•A crystal trophy
Plus all winners in the Child Care Director of the Year category will also win an Australian Scholarships Group Early Childhood Program Kit, each valued at $395

Nominator Prize
Everybody who nominates an early childhood educator, carer, director or service has the chance to win the major prize of $400 Educational Experience gift voucher! There is also a $100 Educational Experience gift voucher for the runner up! Entries for the Nominator Prize will be judged based on the most interesting and creative submission to the last question on the nomination form.

Terms & Conditions – Australian Family Child Care Awards 2011
Early Childhood Educator of the Year, Child Care Director of the Year, Children’s Service of the Year, Rising Star Award

1.All prizes will be awarded on the condition that State and National Winners agree to accept the prizes in person at the Australian Family Child Care Awards Gala Luncheon in Sydney on Friday, 29 April 2011.
2.State Winners in the categories of, Early Childhood Educator of the Year, Child Care Director of the Year and Children’s Service of the Year will receive: A luxurious two night stay at The Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney at the Awards Celebration, including the Awards Gala Luncheon, flights, transfers, meals, 2 nights’ 5 star accommodation, and day spa treatment, valued at up to $1,600. An Educational Experience gift voucher, valued at $450. A framed certificate..

4.Total prize pool valued at up to AU$60,200.00
5.One World For Children (OWFC) will offer the following training courses to National winners: Certificate III (valued at $3,600); Diploma (valued at $4,000); Advanced Diploma (valued at $3,600); Various workshops (valued at $400 each). OWFC agrees that each winner may undertake any combination of the above training services offered by OWFC up to a total of $4,000. In the event that winners reside in non-metropolitan locations, OWFC undertakes to cover the cost of travel by trainers implementing on job assessment (if required) with winners in these locations. OWFC will ensure that each prize winner receives their full entitlement to the value of $4,000 and at no time shall any prize winner will be disadvantaged as a result of the qualifications they may already have. In the event that a winner has previously undertaken the training services offered by OWFC, OWFC will offer alternative training or pay for the winner to attend industry conference(s) up to the value of $2,500.00. This will be negotiated between the prize winner and OWFC.
6.The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
7.To be eligible to become a State Winner in the Service of the Year category, nominees must be a licensed or government approved early child care provider. To be eligible to become a State Winner in the remaining categories, nominees must be employed by a licensed or government approved early child care provider at the time of their nomination. To be eligible to become a State Finalist in the Rising Star category, nominees must also be aged 25 years or under as at 30 April 2011.
8.After the nomination closing date, the most outstanding nominations in each category will be shortlisted. Shortlisted nominees in each category will be notified by email between 18th and 25th March 2011 and invited to enter a personal submission to support their nomination. State Winners and the Rising Star National Winner will be notified by phone and email between 18th and 20th 2011 by a representative of Australian Family. Their details will be announced publicly on 20 April 2011 on www.childcareawards.com.au and made available to the media. National Winners will be selected from amongst the State Winners following personal interviews to be conducted in Sydney on Thursday 28 April 2011, and announced at the Awards Gala Luncheon on Friday 29 April 2011.
9.By participating in this competition, unless otherwise agreed, the nominators and nominees agree that Australian Family may use the information and photographs provided in the nomination and/or submission in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the nominator or nominee, including sending the nominators and/or nominees electronic messages.
10.Finalists and nominators must agree to be contacted by a representative of the Australian Family Child Care Awards to verify any information submitted and the eligibility of the nominee.
11.The Judging Panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Nominators Competition

1.Entry is only open to residents of Australia. Employees & their immediate families of Promoter & its associated agencies and third parties are ineligible. To enter, consumers must fully complete the official Australian Family Child Care Awards nomination form and describe in 50 words or less 'What does the rest of Australia need to know about child care?' & send the completed nomination form to Australian Family, PO Box 3087, Auburn, VIC, 3123 or by email to nominations@childcareawards.com.au or online at www.childcareawards.com.au or by fax on (03) 9819 6733 during the promotional period. No responsibility accepted for lost/late/misdirected entries.
2.Nomination forms are available at www.childcareawards.com.au, and at many child care services around Australia.
3.Commences 15.10.10 & closes 5pm 15.03.11. This is a game of skill & chance plays no part in determining winner. Each entry individually judged based on creative & literary merit. Judges decision is final.
4.The best entry from all entries received, as determined by the judges, will win aan Educational Experience gift voucher valued at $400. The next best entry as determined by the judges, will win an Educational Experience gift voucher valued at $100. Prize value correct at date of publication & Promoter accepts no responsibility for variation in prize value. Prizes not transferable & cannot be taken as cash. Total prize pool valued at AU$500,00.
5.Winners notified by mail and posted on the Child Care Awards website www.childcareawards.com.au. The Promoter collects Eligible Entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the Eligible Entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering, unless otherwise advised, each Eligible Entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the Eligible Entrant, including sending the Eligible Entrant electronic messages. Eligible Entrants' personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners' names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter's Privacy Officer at the address set out in point 7 below.
6.Promoter not liable for loss/damage suffered (included but not limited to indirect/consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered/sustained, as a result of accepting prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
