WIN A LIFE MAKEOVER WORTH $5000

Thanks to the support of five local experts, each highly skilled in these five areas of everyday life, CAIRNSEYE is offering one lucky reader the chance to start afresh in 2011. As part of the New Year, New You competition, we’re offering the services of a dietician, personal trainer, personal stylist, financial planner and a life coach over a six week period. Each expert is committed to assisting our successful CAIRNSEYE entrant to bring about change. And, finally, to help celebrate the transformation, Cairns Central is throwing in $500 so our winner can shop up a storm at the centre (stylist in tow) and finish the program with a trendy new wardrobe!
The winner of the CAIRNSEYE New Year, New You competition must be available to embark on their six week transformation, including attending all necessary appointments, interviews and photo sessions, between January 17, 2011 and March 21, 2011 with a start date of Monday, January 31 for the six-week program, to be confirmed once the winner has been decided and has accepted their prize. The winner must also be available to meet with the Editor of CAIRNSEYE to discuss the prize and any requirements to meet the terms and conditions of the competition. The winner must also be available and willing to be photographed and interviewed for any publicity relating to the competition including, but not limited to, an initial story announcing their win and what they hope to achieve and a final story, discussing the end results of the six-week program. The winner will also be asked to write a 200-300 word weekly diary entry to be published online at
www.cairns.com.au (including a photograph with each of the experts). A brief outline of the appointments required to meet each experts’ needs are outlined below.

Margaret will assess our winner’s financial situation and help them to identify deficiencies between where they are now financially and where they want to be. She will provide advice on how to budget and advise on how to make best use of their money. The prize includes three appointments of five hours total duration during the course of the six-week program.

Attract Success
Brenda will help our winner to sift through their dreams and desires and to start the wheels in motion for a positive change. She will help set realistic goals and then provide our winner with the tools they’ll need to set about achieving them. The prize includes six weekly appointments of six and a half hours total duration plus one follow up session at 12 weeks. Online, email, phone and Skype access to Brenda is also included during the six-week program plus a start-up resource package.
Fiona Bannister

Health Management Dietetics
Fiona will seek to educate our winner on successful ways to achieve healthy living through diet. She will share the tools and tricks that make sticking to a healthy eating regime possible such as label reading and recipe modification. She will also help develop a personalised meal plan for our winner. The prize includes six weekly dietician consults of two and a half hours total duration in addition to a personalised shopping tour of undetermined duration.
Tracey Taylor

ProBalance 24-Hour Fitness
Tracey will seek to train our winner in the importance of personal fitness and will demonstrate how to achieve the best results, specific to our winner’s fitness needs and desires. The prize will include two one-hour training sessions each week for five weeks of 10 hours total duration. It also includes the creation of an individually designed exercise program plus a three-month ProBalance 24-Hour Fitness Centre gift certificate.
Pip Addison
Personal Stylist
Modern Style
Pip will endeavour to educate our winner in the finer details of fashion and style and in dressing to best suit individual age, body shape and personality. The prize includes a two-day overhaul. The first day will consist of a full wardrobe inventory, clean-out and reorganisation. It will also include a private consultation on lifestyle and individual personal improvement needs as well as a detailed list of what is needed to update and complete our winner’s wardrobe. Day two will comprise a full day of shopping with our personal stylist to demonstrate what styles and cuts suit best and tips on what to look for in the market place. This shopping trip will include $500 to spend at participating stores at Cairns Central. Pip will also be on hand for guidance and advice during the six-week program.
Competition closes at 5pm on Wednesday, January 12. Winners will notified by phone. Employees of The Cairns Post and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
