KNOG GOLDEN BOOMER COMPETITION: TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Who can enter?
Anyone 16 years and older can enter and must be able to show upon request proof of age and residency. e.g. Drivers licence. Any entrants under the age of 18 years must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years before entering the competition. The competition is worldwide and is open to residents from all countries*.
Employees and their immediate families of KNOG and the Catalyst Design Group are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
*Competition excludes residents of Quebec. Sorry kids, but they are crazy rules and regulations required to let us give you free stuff!
How to Enter
The competition commences on December 1st 2010 and concludes on May 13th, 2011 at 12:00pm (AEST). The winner will be drawn on May 13th, 2011. The draw will take place at KNOG Headquarters, 453 Church St Richmond, Victoria, Australia, 3121. KNOG’s decision is final and will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
Each applicant must purchase a Golden Boomer (any Boomer with a golden sash – this includes the original, wearable and/or rechargeable). The applicant must then visit
www.knog.com.au and enter their unique code found on the inside of the golden boomer packaging before 12:00pm AEST on March 31st 2011. The applicant must also enter all fields required of them correctly. If any information is entered incorrectly, KNOG reserves the right to withdraw an applicant from the competition. Each applicant must supply proof of purchase upon winning, including both the proof of purchase receipt as well as the original packaging with the unique code. If an applicant cannot supply these items, KNOG reserves the right to withdraw that applicant from the competition and select another winner. Any entrants under the age of 18 years must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years before entering the competition.
What you win!
The grand prize of the Golden Boomer Competition includes:
1. Flight from your nearest international airport to Tullamarine Airport, Melbourne, Australia*. If the winner lives within Australia, then all domestic flights and/or travel will be included.
2. Transfers to and from Tullamarine Airport, Melbourne to your accommodation*
3. Accommodation for 3 nights in Melbourne*
4. A welcome party and presentation of your bike from all of us here at KNOG.
5. One customised golden bike. (Once the winner is selected they will be required to provide KNOG and Shifter Bikes with all the necessary specifications for customisation.).
6. KNOG will also cover the excess luggage costs required to send your bike home.
7. Return flight from Tullamarine Airport, Melbourne to your nearest international airport. All flight schedules will be allocated by KNOG. If you wish to change any flights – you must do so at your own cost.
* What’s not included:
1. Transport to and from your place of residence to your destination airport is not included.
2. Food and drink for your length of stay is not included.
3. KNOG does not cover your travel insurance for your length of time away and is not responsible for, including but not limited to; flight cancellation fees, theft, loss of luggage, medical and/or emergency expenses, accidental injury. If you agree to accept this prize, you acknowledge that you travel at your own risk. KNOG highly recommends that you purchase travel insurance before travelling.
Important
The prize is not redeemable for cash and forfeited if unable to attend on our date stipulated. If for any reason the winner does not take the prize or any element of the prize at the time stipulated by KNOG, then the prize or any element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash.
No Liability
KNOG is not responsible for, including but not limited to; flight cancellation fees, theft, loss of luggage, medical and/or emergency expenses, accidental injury. If you agree to accept this prize, you acknowledge that you travel at your own risk. KNOG highly recommends that you purchase travel insurance before travelling.
Whilst KNOG will pay and arrange shipment of your golden bike from Melbourne to your place of residence, we do not take responsibility for any damage, loss or theft that may occur whilst in transit.
If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of KNOG which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, KNOG reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders KNOG’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, civil unrest, strike, act of terrorism, KNOG may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
