To raise funds for the Queensland flood appeal, InterContinental Sydney is giving one lucky couple the chance to spend two nights in its iconic Australia Suite, where talkshow queen Oprah Winfrey calls home when she visited Sydney.

In addition to two nights in Oprah’s Sydney pad, the hotel is offering dinner for two in Justin North’s Chef-Hatted restaurant Etch on the ground floor of the hotel, a “Complete Body Overhaul” treatment for her and a “Mister Overhaul” treatment for him at Sebastian Salon on level 9, a 90-minute couples massage at Odyssey Massage on level 9, and a stunning floral arrangement by Maurice The Florist, on the ground floor.

The complete VIP experience, valued at more than $20,000, is first prize in InterContinental Sydney’s flood relief raffle, launched today to raise funds for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal and support the thousands of Australians affected by the floods.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase from the Concierge desk within the hotel for $10 each, with prize winners to be announced on January 31, 2011.

Sydney’s largest hotel suite, InterContinental Sydney’s 245-square-metre Australia Suite features an open air terrace, baby grand piano, oversized bathroom, spa bath and sweeping views across the Royal Botanic Gardens and Sydney Harbour.

Other high profile guests who have called the suite home include Bill Clinton, Cher, George W. Bush, Mel Gibson, Luciano Pavarotti and Frank Sinatra.

For more information, call the hotel on 9253 9000.
