Gnomeo & Juliet competition terms and conditions
1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions.
2. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Prizes: There are ten (10) Gnomeo and Juliet movie prize packs as the prizes for this competition. Each winner will receive:
• Four (4) in-season movie passes to see Gnomeo and Juliet in 2D or 3D at any participating cinema, valued at $76. These movie passes are valid for the entire theatrical season and are not valid on Tuesdays or Saturdays after 5pm.
• A Gnomeo and Juliet soundtrack, valued at $25.
• A family sized box of chocolates, valued at $20.
Each prize pack is valued at $121.
The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winners, other than those outlined in these terms and conditions, are the responsibility of the winners. Prizes are themselves subject to the specific terms and conditions of the providers.
If the prizewinner is under the age of 18, the prize may (at the absolute discretion of the Promoter) be awarded to the prizewinner's parent or guardian.
4. The competition period: The competition opens at 12.30pm on Wednesday 2 February 2011 and closes at 10am on Tuesday 22 February 2011.
5. How to enter: Entrants must fully and correctly complete and submit the entry form on the ourbrisbane.com website. Only one entry per person. If a person enters the competition more than once all subsequent entries will be deemed to be invalid
6. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition, a person must: a) be permanent residents of the State of Queensland b) fully and correctly complete and submit the entry form on the ourbrisbane.com website. c) not be an employee or contractor of the Promoter or an immediate family member of employees or contractors of the Promoter; and d) be over the age of 18 (proof of age may required to receive prize) or have the consent of one of his or her parents or guardians to enter the competition.
7. Competition Draw: Winners will be randomly drawn by a Council Officer at 11am on Tuesday 22 February 2011. Winners of the prize packs will be the first ten (10) eligible entries randomly drawn. The decision of that officer shall be conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. Winner Notification: The winners will be notified by telephone or email and their name and suburb will be published at [http://www.ourbrisbane.com/competitions]. The winners will not be officially published in a newspaper.
9. Re-Draw: If the winner does not claim the prize or cannot be contacted by email by within three (3) business days of the competition draw date, the Promoter will redraw the prizewinner until a contactable winner has been located and the prize is claimed.
10. No Liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance of the prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions and/or to cancel the competition at any time prior to the competition opening without further recourse to the entrants.
12. Important – Privacy: By entering into this competition, the entrant consents to the personal information entered on the entry form being collected, stored and used by the Promoter or entities acting on its behalf for the purpose of internal statistical analysis relating to the Promoter’s competitions. If the entrant wishes to unsubscribe from the Promoter’s database for this purpose, the entrant must contact ourbrisbane.com’s Customer Contact Centre on 1300 134 199 or email
enquiries@ourbrisbane.com with the words “UNSUBSCRIBE- Competition personal details”. By marking the ourbrisbane.com email-newsletter “opt-in” box on the ourbrisbane.com entry form, you consent to the storage and use of your personal information by the Promoter for the marketing purposes as set out next to the opt-in box. Entrants can unsubscribe to marketing correspondence at any time by responding to the “UNSUBSCRIBE” link in any email-newsletter they receive.
13. Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with, the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition.
14. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
