Two fantastic cash prizes are up for grabs:
•$3,000 for the school with the winning act
•$1,500 for the school that comes second.
About the competition
Acts consisting of students from year one to year six are eligible to enter to showcase their skills in anything, including:
•singing and dancing
•juggling
•playing an instrument
•performing magic tricks.
Performances will be judged on originality and creativity by a panel of three judges, including some well-known local celebrities. View competition terms and conditions.

Competition terms and conditions
ActewAGL Primary School's Talent Competition
1.To enter the competition, schools must complete and submit the application form on the ActewAGL website at
www.actewagl.com.au/promotions/schoolstalentcompetition. As part of the application process, schools must describe their act in 250 words or less.
2.Applications close at 5.00pm on Friday 11 February 2011.
3.Schools will perform at the ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show on Saturday 26 February 2011.
4.Each school must have a minimum of five students perform as part of the act to be eligible to enter the competition.
5.The competition is open to all Primary Schools in the ACT and Queanbeyan.
6.The school representative must indicate on the application form that they have parental/guardian permission for each student to perform at the 2011 ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show.
7.Each act will perform on the main stage of ActewAGL Alley and the performance time must not exceed five minutes.
8.ActewAGL will only supply entry tickets to the 2011 ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show to students performing as part of the act and the teacher in charge of the performance.
9.The winning school as selected by the judges at the show will receive $3,000 and the second placed school will receive $1,500.
10.The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the competition on Saturday 26 February at the 2011 ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show.
11.This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
12.The performances will be judged on originality, creativity and effort.
13.The judge’s decision will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will be entered into.
14.To the fullest extent permitted by law, ActewAGL shall not be liable for any injury, damage, expenses or loss (whether direct or consequential) to persons or property suffered or sustained in connection with entry into this competition or the prize.
