Win a double pass to see Selby & Friends

Acclaimed Australian chamber music series Selby & Friends is excited to launch its fifth annual concert series with its first 2011 national tour, Vitebsk, a dynamic program of contrasting piano trios that will be presented in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Turramurra and the Southern Highlands.

Named after the Aaron Copland work, which will be performed during the tour, Vitebsk will feature renowned artists pianist Kathryn Selby, cellist Emma-Jane Murphy and violin virtuoso Natsuko Yoshimoto.

These talented musicians will explore the art of the piano through the work of four masters, including the heavenly melodies of Joseph Suk, the fantastical rhythms and innovation of Aaron Copland, a beautiful impressionist journey of France through Claude Debussy’s only piano trio, and the iconic masterpiece for the genre, Beethoven’s great Archduke.

The Australian Jewish News is giving away tickets to the Sydney show on March 1 at 7pm at City Recital Hall and the Melbourne show on March 2 at 8pm at Melba Hall.
