Last year it was the Royal Mail at Dunkeld and the year before that Sydney’s Wildfire. Who will receive the Australian Wine List of the Year Readers’ Choice Award in 2011? Well, that’s entirely up to you. Gourmet Traveller WINE and Fine Wine Partners urge you to vote by logging on and telling us in 25 words or less why the wine list of your choice should win. The person with the most convincing entry will receive a magnum of Bollinger (A$280), and the restaurant that receives the most votes will win the Reader’s Choice Award at Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards 2011 and will be showcased alongside the other winners in our August/September 2011 iss
Terms
1. Information on how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. To enter, log onto
www.gourmettravellerwine.com.au and sign up to the e-newsletter. Register your details and tell us in 25 words or less the name of the restaurant, bar, hotel or club and why you think its wine list should win.
4. Participants must fill out, in full, all mandatory elements of the promotion entry form in order for their entry to be valid.
5. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any change in the value of a prize occurring between the date of printing and the date the prize is claimed. Prize value mentioned is the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and is correct at the time of printing.
6. The promotion commences AEDST 31 January 2011, and closes 03 April 2011. Judging will begin on 18 April 2010 at 11am AEST at the judges' premises. The winner will be notified by mail using contact details provided in their entry.
7. The best entry as deemed by the judges will win 1 x magnum of Bollinger Special cuvee Champagne valued at $280.00.
8. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, direct, indirect or consequential losses) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained by the winner of a prize or any other person or otherwise suffered or sustained in connection with participating in this competition, as a result of taking or making use of any prize, or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of the Promoter or any person associated with any of them, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
9. No more than 20 litres of alcohol will be won by New South Wales residents. Once 20 litres of alcohol has been won by New South Wales residents, cash will be awarded in lieu of the remaining alcohol prize. The Promoter may require winners to provide proof of age. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter's discretion.
10. The Promoter encourages consumers to drink responsibly. Legal-aged consumers are advised to consider the new Australian Alcohol Guidelines to Reduce Health Risks from Drinking Alcohol recommend that both women and men drink no more than two standard drinks a day over their lifetime, and no more than four standard drinks on any one occasion if they want to reduce their risk of being harmed by an alcohol-related injury or disease.
